Silver/Gray/Browns...not my colors but I'd love to try!

I was watching a music video for "Breathless" by the Corrs earlier today (my fave music group, btw) and Andrea had on some really pretty m/u that I would love to try but it was a silvery/gray eye look and I feel like grays and silvers make me look "off". They seem to enhance the circles under my eyes even with concealer. Now, I'd say I'm somewhat darker than she is but I do have dark brown hair and green eyes. I'm about an NC25/30 and do have circles under my eyes and usually have to use concealer or a base to cover dark eyelids as well. I seem to have this problem with browns/bronzes as well. I used Teddy e/l the other day and looked like I was tired and sick!

Here's the video:

I'd really appreciate some advice on this if it's possible I could pull off this look without looking tired or like Night of the Living Dead. I just thought it was super pretty and something I could wear with just about anything. Help me out!! TIA!

I know, it really blows. I keep thinking maybe I've just got the wrong shades picked out or something b/c I truly believe anyone can wear any color, you just have to find the right shade but with the grays/silvers so far, I've tried Knight Divine, Electra, and that glitter bomb Idol Eyes and haven't been able to pull it off. I really love how she looks toward the end of the video and would love to be able to wear something close to that.

I think it's because in the range of NC25-NC35, those colors like aren't warm enough maybe. I remember one time I bought a bronzey/light brown color and I could not do it, as hard as I tried. Then my friend who's around NW20/25 wore it and she looked amazing in it. I think it's because silvers/grays/browns are just too neutral or sometimes too cool. Brown I don't get though, it's brown, how can it not like be warm enough. Thankfully we can wear any other colors though, especially brights! And don't forget pink lips!

I am a NC25/NC30 as well. Have you tried Vellum? I pair it with Satin Taupe and Shroom. One of my first combos but I constantly reach for it!

I'm an NC20 and I have the same issues. I just bought copperplate on the weekend and tried it today for the first time. It was good, but looked alot better when I added some Expensive Pink overtop to warm it up a bit more. Its a very nice brown/grey shade though.

I was scared of Amber Lights too and I was pleasantly surprised

I'll probably work up the courage to try it one day. As for now though, it's just scaring me.

i'm NC25-30 and grays and browns are one of my favorite go-to colors...

I love Softwashed gray pigment. it's the best silvery blue shadow for my skintone imo.

another grayish brown that looks stunning, especially if you have brown eyes, is copperplate e/s. that on your lid with carbon makes my eyes pop...

you should also try cork e/s all over the lid with black eyeliner.

try smoke & diamonds. It is a lovely grey/taupe that changes colour depending on what is is paired with. Perhaps make sure your highlight & inner corner is a gold/cream (warm) like vanilla rather than a blue/white (cool). Try a little peachy/beige in between highlight and inner corner, and a little of a warm brow like espresso or handwritten rather than carbon.
Keep cheeks peachy & lips nude...Good luck....HTH's - please let me know how you go!

I've tried Satin Taupe and it's too warm on me I guess would be how I should put it. Amber Lights also was a disaster but again this is all in my opinion on how it looks on me. It could like fine to someone else! I'm looking for any recs for grays/silvers/browns and they don't have to be MAC. I'm happy to try out any brand. I have a Stila bronze that reminds me of Tempting from MAC and I do have a few piggies from The Shespace but none are silvers or grays. I really appreciate the suggestions!! Thanks!

I'm going to be completely useless...but I HAD to tell you that I hate you.
Because now I have Breathless stuck in my head, and it'll be there ALL day now...LOL At least it's a good song to get stuck...

The Corrs are my absolute favorite ever and I do think Breathless is slightly "cheesy pop" as my friend would say but I still love it and I listen to their stuff over and over. I have almost every single song they've done on my iPod.
