Single and double eyelid together?

As most asians worry about their single eyelid.... I have ONE single eyelid and ONE double eyelid. And I can never get my eyemakeup to look the same on both eyes. I generally dont use e/s at all because I can never blend them the same, nor can I get my eyeliner to look the same thickness. I love eyelashes, so all I do for my eyes is just white liner [inner corner] and lots of mascara. Can anyone help me out?

Aughh! I hear you!

Most of the time, I'll have double eyelids...but sometimes my left one is yucky and becomes single (I DON'T KNOW!!!)...I know it's weird, but using lash glue helps :].

Oh man, I know what you mean. I have single lids, but on certain mornings, I wake up with one that's semi-double lid. Unfortunately, I don't have a great solution either. I usually just line one of my eyes thicker and wear glasses. Glasses are awesome in that they can hide a lot of little lining/shadow mistakes and blemishes around the eye area. So, my different-looking (and different-sized) eyes aren't obvious.

Yeah, I've got a eyelid glue stuff but after you put it on... my eyeshadow doesn't seem to blend properly. Do you know if I'm supposed to put the glue on BEFORE or AFTER eyeshadow?
Some people say it's bad for your eyelid too.

aw, youre not alone... my left eye has double eyelids where my right eye has a single =_-

my side bangs usually cover my right eye so its not that obvious but um... oh i do remember coming across a tutorial where a girl uses the sticky bit of stickers to set her eyelid in place. Um okay i cant really explain it but she got a clean price sticker and stuck it on her eyelid for a few minutes and then removed it. But since it made her skin sticky, it kept the eyelid in place? I know it sounds a bit dodge but it seemed it did the trick in her tutorial... i'll see if i can try find it. Otherwise there are stores that sell actual eyelid sticker thingies *shrugs*

i think you use the glue after you put on eyeshadow, if you put it on before you wont be able to apply the eyeshadow evenly ............ right?

I hear you sister! It's funny but as a child I had singles, then around my early teens it was one single and one double, then when I got older they turned double. Although if I cry or have a bad sleeping day my eyes get all weird and can go one single one double again.

I agree with maywind the glasses helps to hide this. Also instead of using the sticker thingy to tape the lid, maybe wearing false lashes may hide this. Give it a shot! Also I would recommend a softer black e/s rather than e/l because e/l will just define the difference more then actually balance it out. hth

I have single lids and sometimes I get a fold on one eye and it pisses me off! If it's going to happen, do it to both eyes, or don't do it at all! If my eyes were permanently uneven I think I'd get plastic surgery because it already bugs me as it is. But since it only happens some days, I just do the regular makeup routine and walk out with lopsided eyes. If anyone asks I'll just say my eye gets retarded sometimes lol. But yeah, false eyelashes help mask the unevenness some.

After (It's kind of tricky...just don't put too much color in the crease and it'll look okay). Or, glue them before you sleep and peel them off in the morning. That'll usually keep them put.

Yeah wearing false lashes is a solution on occasion, but not for everyday. I know this is not the perfect answer but learn to love your eyes for its uniqueness, work with what you’ve got

We all have something about our body that is not symmetrical, could be nose, breast, legs etc. In fact a lot of celebrities are not perfectly symmetrical as well. Did you know that Paris Hilton has a lazy eye? One of her eyes (I forgot which one) droops more than the other (there’s actually a thread here about that check it out). She knows how to work with it thou - posing strategically and using makeup techniques. Also the famous supermodel Christy Turlington, she has one eye that's noticeably bigger than the other. They are all beautiful women, well Paris is debateable but you get my drift
