So Cal MAC shopping--

I LOVE shopping in Hollywood at either the Hollywood and Highland MAC store or the Pro Store. I *detest* the Brea mall MAC store. Those MAs really reinforce the snooty California attitude. I guess it is just typical Orange County behavior. Bleh!

I love my counter but wish it was a store. It's big enough that I can call it a store.

i love the products at MAC pro on roberston in west la, but i've never had a good MA there, which is odd. also, parking is a bitch. other than that, since i live right by pasadena, i usually go to the paseo colorado MAC freestanding store, in pasadena, and my fave. MA is katie. although she's moving to the sherman oaks macy*s counter to become a manager, which is cool cause its a great counter, bad because its much further from me.

I usually go to MAC Pro on Robertson (if you drive one block south, theres a parking structure that you can park at) and I also like the MAC counter at Saks in BH. I live in the South Bay so I frequent the MAC store at Del Amo mall and the MAC counter at Macy's in Manhattan Village. I don't like the MAC counter at Macy's Del Amo as much and Nordstrom at South Bay Galleria is only so-so depending on who's working at the counter.

I live in the South Bay area of LA, so I'm a frequent shopper of the Nordie's counter at The South Bay Galleria Mall. My fav SA works there. I also love the free-standing store in Torrance at the Del Amo Mall...I'm there all the time. Macy's in Torrance is ok. The counter in Nordies at the Irvine Spectrum is really nice. It's set up differently than the normal counters and it's fairly new. Those are the only counters/stores I've been to. I'm dying to go to the one in Barney's in Beverly Hills!

Agreed. Brea Mall is like down the street from my house though, so anything besides permanent shadows I get at the Nordstrom counter. The MA's there are really nice. I've been trying to avoid MAC freestanding at all costs lately, so if I need a freestanding product I'll either order it online or go out of my way to South Coast Plaza. It's that bad.

I've heard that the Topanga Plaza in The Valley is going to get a freestanding store. I just wish they'd put one up in Santa Barbara. That would be sooo awesome!

I always go to the counter in Nordstroms. The girls are all very nice and helpful. My fiance took me to the MAC Pro store on Robertson in LA and they were so nice! A real nice boy named Jack helped me. I agree with the opinions on the Brea store. So snotty and for what? However, there is a boy named John that was a lot of help.

MAC Pro is hit or miss for me, sometimes they are great sometimes they are too busy to even look your way. I go to the Nordies at Westside Pavillion on Pico cuz it's close to my house but the MA's are all bitches there most of the time.

is it a counter in a department store? which one? The montebello mall is off the 60 right? which exit is it? I don't think it's too far from me, I'll have to try that MAC counter sometime.

I went back to the MAC store in the Brea mall last night with my stepdaughter. Someone she knows has a pro card & got us 40% off of what we wanted. We were there for a couple of hours just playing with all the colors. I bought 6 new colors & picked out more for future purchases. They weren't overly friendly or overly helpful, but no one was downright rude or snotty either. I still love the MA I first dealt with at the Nordstrom counter at Brea. I am so glad my first impression for MAC was a great one!!
