Well It's been bugging me and I want to know what are shadesticks like are they just use for eyeshadows and thats it or can they be used like a paint pot for a base for your eyeshadow..??

What is a cream color base..I have one and someone said the ccb's are the best for pigments..is this true or is mixing medium??

What is a good brush when applying with pigments?? Is the flat shader brush good??

Thanks Guys I know its alot but I've already collected e/s and lippies i need some pigments or shadesticks now..

A cream colour base is a creamy product that you can use for a variety of things... MAC's description is "Versatile and multi-purpose, Cream Colour Base can be applied directly to bare skin, or layered over foundation, moisturizer, or powder. Apply with a brush, sponge, or fingers. Colour effects range from a light veil to highly dramatic, depending on method of application."

You can use them on your eyes, cheeks, lips, etc. I've mainly used mine that I have on my eyes, but I must admit I'm not a big fan. Other products NEVER crease on me, but some of the CCBs do so that makes me not a fan.

As for the brush question, I usually use a 239. Load it up, and then I pack it on, or spritz with Fix+ to use them wet. If I want a light wash of color, I'll use something fluffier like a 217 to give a nice sheer look.

Shadesticks can be used as an eyeshadow or a base for an eyeshadow to make the eyeshadow look brighter and last longer.

Any flat shader brush works for pigments, example of MAC brushes:
234, 242 and 213

If you use the search function you might be able to find some more information

i only own one shadetsick because i think they are quite dry and pull on my eyes a little. that said i use it as a base more often than i use it as a shadow (which you can do!). but ultimately i recah for paints and paint pots for bases because they don't crease and are creamy.

as far as ccb's i find that on my eyes they crease a little - although i can understand why people say they are good for pigments because they are slightly sticky so the powder sticks on. personally i use paints or pant pots for my pigments also. if i'm using a pigment as a lid colour i often 'foil' it on with fix + or the water based mixing medium to make the colour super bright and it lasts all day.

Well I was thinking that too about the shadsticks but what is better MAC fix+ spray or water mixing medium to foil pigments?

i think its a matter of preference, i use fix+ and have never felt like i needed to use something else, it works fine for me, maybe some one who has tried both can give u a fair comparison

Shadesticks are used under eyeshadows as a base to make them look more intense. I have it in Sharkskin, and it looks good under really vibrant colours like Electric Eel. I really don't use it that often because the stick is supposed to be creamy but I find mine is quite dry and pulls on my skin. Some people sit on it or roll it between their hands to warm it up, but I think I would use "Beige-ing" more than Sharkskin if I had it.

I heard cream colour bases need to be set with powder, otherwise they crease.

The 239 brush is pretty good for pigments, I just use plain water to dampen my brush then dip it into pigments.

but again it's up to you what you use - both are fine! you can even just use plain old water!
