Sooo... how about those grey hairs?

Don't be shy! You don't have to be a person of a certain age to have them; My mom spotted my first few when I was seven, and my daughter sprouted them at the same age, and in the same, exact spot!

I just wanted to start a thread to see what everyone here thinks about them, and what they're planning (or already are) doing about them?

My first greys sprouted near the middle portion of my head, as a kid and weren't noticeable at all. By my mid 20s, a few more popped up, and every now and then, they'd stand straight up in defiance unless my hair was braided or pulled back. Those hairs seem to be coarser than the rest and they wanna be seen! Now that I'm almost finished rounding the bases to 30, these girls are really striving to be noticed! I usually wear my hair up or pulled back, now that my hair is locked, but no matter how I wear it, my part naturally falls down the middle. Guess where the grey girls are moving in on? You guessed it, a streak, right down the middle!

I don't plan to do much to them, since I only color my hair once a year (that's how I've been monitoring growth for the past few years). The thing is, after 2 or 3 shampoos, the greys look sorta like highlights, but after 6 shampoos, they are back to their fully grey glory! I've been considering temp color in between dye jobs, but I doubt they'll do anything to really cover my greys. Once my hair starts to get decidedly salt and peppery, I think I'm gonna just cut my hair and bask in my grey glory

Enough about me and mine - what about you guys?

Luckily, I haven't noticed any, and I'm thrilled. Don't think I will do too well when I start seeing them & of course, I will be dying my hair on a more frequent basis

I have none and probably won't have any till I'm in my late thirties (I'm 21). My mom went grey in her early 20s and now she's completely grey and loving it. I however have my dad's hair. My hair will go black then grey. I dye my hair now, but depending on how much grey comes at once I'll dye over or keep depending on how it looks.

These little shits!

I'm 19 years old. I noticed them a few years ago, right in my crown. Didn't bother me. I am always doing something different with my hair anyways. I have been studying my hair lately, and they are creeping up to my hairline. Its ridiculous. My mom got hers in her 20s. I feel way too young for this. But I do stress constantly I don't know if thats part of it.

I shouldn't care because I'm always dying my hair. But these bad boys don't want to be colored. And especially with my dark ass hair, you can see them even worse. I have ugly yellow brassy highlights that need to be corrected, and they don't even help the grays.

I have heard greys are a sign of stress. I remember one of my friends having a few when I was little. They are tough to hide with dye I guess. I love your avatar, cantaffordmac. Smokin!
