Has anyone ever seen this show? It's on Style Network. If not, here's the rundown:

Two stylists from different parts of America switch places for a week (I think

). Anyways, they don't have a choice of what kind of salon they go to or where. It can be a salon that does hair for the fashion industry, ethnic hair, celebrity hair, or based on spirituality. The stylists do the hair of the other person's clients and go by the shop's rule for the first day. Usually this is the day where the people in the shop treat that person like crap, more often than not. The second day, they get to do things the way they want to do it and hopefully in the process teach the other stylists a thing or two. Of course with it being in a salon, people are going to bump heads, customers are going to be pissed and there will be all types of drama. There's always the stylist who either:

1. Takes the new person under their wing and treat them like gold.

2. Treats the new person like dirt and as if they've never held a curling iron before.

or

3. Takes over and tells the person they're not doing it right.

Needless to say, I love it.

I've seen some of a few of the episodes...I like the one with Brandon and the ladies at the salon. When they had him praying, I was dying!!!
And the black girl at Fashion Week was funny...."Make you do a lil' James Brown on it!!".

You just reminded me! I missed my other fave tonight, "High Maintenance 90210".

Oh, I just sounded off on Style Network about that one. They were so unfair to Yasmin and instead of them letting her do it her way the second day, the guy just took over. Another person wrote on the site that she saved his butt in the end and I just saw it (on dvr). And he still had the nerve to say he hoped she learned something in the end. He should have learned that just because you're on 5th Avenue, that doesn't mean you know everything about hair (because obviously the one they sent to Golden Touch didn't know alot - even though he lied and said he did).

And did you see the way that stylist was dressed, that they sent Yasmin to? She looked like she had just gotten finished rummaging through the garbage, and she's going to give someone a fashion tip? She could have done it in a better way, but I think she was trying to shine on camera and act like she was "schooling" someone. But whatever.

Yeah....I was pissed when the guy was like, "You're taking too long..." or "You're supposed to do it this way". I don't make it a point to watch the show because of the differences stylists have. Like Brandon (he used to be on "Blow Out", too).....everybody doesn't consider "waterfalls" a typical "style". It was something that was more often seen at hair shows, so it kind of made me mad when the salon owner at Golden Touch was like, "He'd better know what he's doing!". You can look at him and see that was going to be a challenge....

I could tell it was going to be a challenge, but when someone says "on camera", "Yeah I can do cornrows" and whatever else he said, and then have no idea and make excuses for not knowing, I don't feel sorry for him. Yasmin on the other hand didn't get a chance to do anything but other "ethnic" people's hair in the end, because Mr. Top Stylist didn't know what to do. And he still slighted her when giving her her props.
