Stippling Brush

Hello again!

So, I want to buy a stippling brush to apply my liquid foundation. I know that everybody says that MAC's 187 is the best, but I don't have the money for that...

I can, though, pay up to approx. $30 for a decent one.

So far, I have the following options:
1) Crown Brushes Dual Length
2) Sigma SS187 or SS197
3) Enkore's Stipple & Swirl

So, what do you think? Which one should I get? Or do you have another suggestion that I don't know about?

Thanks A LOT!!!

I've got the MAC 187 and the Ulta Professional 187 dupe. Honestly, I don't notice a marked difference and the Ulta version was only $26 and holds up very well!

I have both the Crown dual length and the 187 and they are not comparable, particularly if you are interested in using it for liquids. The Crown brush is not nearly as dense and the white bristles are softer and finer. I like it for applying an all-over dusting of finishing powder or a very light layer of blush, highlighter, or bronzer, but the 187 is a MUCH better brush for actually placing color or blending; I can't see the dual length being used for liquid foundation at all. (I think it would just...wilt? from the weight of the product.)

Another idea: I haven't tried the adesign flat-topped foundation brush for liquid foundation but it seems like it would be a great alternative if you're looking for a lot of control in blending. The bristles are soft but packed very densely. I use it sometimes for powder foundation. I use the BeautyBlender sponge for stippling liquid foundation and I'm very happy with the results.

I use a Philosophy Airbrush blender brush for all my mu apps.. it works beautifully and it costs about $ 25 !! ... I have the 187, 188 and I find that the Philosophy does a better job of distributing and applying foundations and cream blushes. It has synthetic hairs which are very densely packed and cut short --doesn't bleed, smell or lose hairs

I didn't like the sigma one. It's not as dense and sort of flimsy which made stippling somewhat harder to do.

But I mean, it's 16 bucks, so it might be just fine for some.

I vote for the EnKore Stipple&Swirl brush, I have three of them!

The other EnKore stippling brushes are good too, the small one for blush is great! The best thing is that they are cruelty-free, meaning no animal hair was used!

I've actually bought and just tried the mac 130 stippling brush (the small one) for applying liquid foundation and i loved it, it was firm but soft, i'm not sure about US prices but myself the 130 would be closer within your price range.

Just a note, the Sephora stippling brush from the IT collection (the pink one) is significantly smaller than the full size from MAC or Sephora's platinum collection. It actually does a nice job for MUFE's new cream blushes and probably any other cream blush/highlight/bronzer out.

I have the Sigma ss187, 188 Mac 187 and stippling brush from Target. The brush from Target works best for me. I did not like the Sigma brushes.

Yes! I went out and bought it from Target. It is good quality and very soft. I forgot the exact price but it's a good buy. Target has other good brushes.

I've used it a couple times, but yes, it is small. I really like this one though.
I kind of like small brushes. I know it takes me a little longer to put my foundation on, but i feel like i do a more precise job with it. But yea, it is pretty tiny. If you wanted something the size of teh 187, this is like... 1/4 to 1/3rd of the size.
