Stuck Stackables

I have 2 stackables full of MAC pigments. I had always thought they were a great space saver in my kit, but now I'm not sure they're worth it!

Both have a stuck piece in them, and I have no idea how to get at my azreal blue or my blue-brown pigment now!! :'(
Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea how to get it UNstuck??

Well, these are my mineral stackables:

Basically little pots and screw one on top of the other.

Have you tried tapping them all the way around the sides? I personally would stick it in the fridge overnight, though im not sure if this will do anything - its just something that i would try (in my head plastic gets smaller with cold, like wood does...)

I have gotten mine stuck before. I gave it to my boyfriend and he unstuck them

When I used to work at the police station the Scottish lady there showed me this trick for opening things in jars, maybe it will work here. She would take a rubber band and wrap it around the rim of the jar, and it would give you a better grip. It's crazy how well this actually works, I felt so muscle-y afterwards!
