Studio fix alternative?

I absolutely LOVE the studio fix powder, the texture is so nice i love the full coverage it gives, but unfortunately it makes my skin break out like crazy.

i have yet to find a good powder foundation that is comparable... always either too sheer / too chalky / weird colors. I'm looking for a powder that gives very FULL COVERAGE. Any suggestions?

Chanel Mat Lumiere. If you're interested, there's a full comparison review of it vs. Studio Fix powder on my blog

I agree I was going to say this also. I always keep this on hand.

Do you know how this compares to MUFE Duo Mat? It is a lot cheaper. If it's not as good I'll just keep paying more. I wanted to love Studio Fix so at least I could B2M it but it's just not up to par with MUFE Duo Mat. I also get a better color match with the MUFE.

I use MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation - Loose

Very buildable coverage, I find it to be very natural looking and not cakey.
I apply it with the 189 or any large powder brush rather than a kabuki but still do the same buffing in as other mineral foundations.
Have been using it for about 6 months now with great results, you can even set with a spritz of Fix+ and it looks great with MSFs and blush on top, just like a fluid foundation once it sets.

this is funny, i actually found some MUFE duo mat i got as gratis forever ago and tried it and although i love the coverage, i found it to be TOO mat. the studio fix sets with my skin after a few minutes and doesn't look powdery but the duo mat never did and i had to keep spraying my face with water so that it didn't look so powdery. its an amazing foundation but my skin isn't oily enough for it so it was too drying / powdery.

as for the sephora brand powder.... bleh. i like using it on clients who already have optimal skin or only want sheer coverage but on me it is a) too sheer / not buildable and b) does not come in neutral shades, just pink or yellow (and even those are off).

thanks for the suggestions!! i'm still keeping my eye out. i was thinking about trying the mac mineral foundation but i'm kind of scared to use any of their foundations since they gave me the worst break out ever. no makeup has ever done that to me before, even the cheap drugstore stuff. i'm very sad

I've always wanted to try the shiseido line. They have a couple of powder foundations that look promising.

I get massive break-outs from the Studio Fix Fluid, and the SF Powder, but I started to use another brand and MAC MSF powder on top, that works great. Not as good coverage, but it works for me.
