Stupid Bald Spot!

Hey everyone, I need help! a while back I started a nasty habit; pulling out my hairs. It started with just a few, but after the initial pulling, I would feel the prickly little baby hairs growing back, and it botherd the hell outta me! I couldnt see the back of my head obviously, so I would try and tweeze the little buggers out...missing the short ones and pulling out random ones instead. Needless to say, esp with me then tweezing the regrowth, I got a few baldspots. I've since quit that nasty habit, and a few patches have started growing back but there is a spot that is taking FOREVER to grow!

Is it because I unknowingly tweezed too much in that spot and now it's gonna be like that? It's been 2.5 months since I've stopped and there are only a few I can feel growing back on that spot..
should I try rogaine? silica and biotin? The spot is hidden and about the size of a dime *maybe a lil bigger* but I'm really self conscious about it. That and my bf likes to touch it for some odd reason...hahahaha ew! please help!

You should go see a dermatologist.

I am glad to hear that you stopped doing that.

Now don't do it again!

I agree. A dermatologist will be able to examine the area and best advise you.

i had this problem before but mine had a scab and was soOOoo itchy! my dad made me go to the derm when he saw a bald spot (size of a nickel!) and she prescribed an ointment to stop the itching. it did work and i finally kicked the habit of pulling the lil hairs out. i know the feeling of having to pull those lil suckers out after you feel them on your fingertips! and when when you do it feels oh so good!!! butt a white bald spot is not so cute so i'm glad you kicked the habit too! so if it's itchy go to your derm 'n if not don't worry it'll grow out

If this is stress/anxiety hairpulling, go find a therapist, even if you claim you did quit the habit; I think it can cycle. Some people will literally pull themselves completely bald (head hair, eyebrow hair, probably pubic hair).

I second what everyone else says about the dermatologist.
