Subtle Pigment is almost Coco Pigment

Just an FYI to those of you who haven't seen Subtle Pigment yet. It is really close to Coco pigment for those of you who missed Coco or have run out.

Coco has more of the reddish and silver undertones. Subtle is a tad darker (seems to have more colour payoff). Overall though, very similar.

That's why I didn't buy it. I have a full jar of Coco that I will never finish, plus a slew of other taupe e/s, so I didn't need another taupe pigment.

Yes one of the specktrettes swatched all three pigments (Sunnydaze, Coco, Subtle) and they are very similar... Coco and Subtle esp.

How about Satin Taupe? How does Subtle compare to that in terms of depth~ cause obviously Subtle is way frostier and creamy which i lurveeeee~ thx in advance!

The three pigments are similar. I think it is different enough from Sunnydaze but it is almost dead on to Coco...only SLIGHTLY darker.

I think Sunnydaze is a good bit more golden but Subtle is very close to Coco, only slightly warmer. I also think Entremauve is about identical to Grape. I can tell the difference in the 2 actually. I hope the next Pigments are more exciting

Oh, left of each shade is dry, right is applied wet.

IMHO, it is so close to Coco that if you didn't get it the first time around, get Subtle...it's that similar...

I am kind of pissed at MAC since these days they are not coming out with new colors but just new names. Good news to my wallet but I am MAC is seriously putting me off because of that.

yeah, the pigments from nocturnelle seem to damn near re-releases... subtle is like coco and entremauve is like grape

Amen to that about the light colors! MAC needs a collection of new (not duplicate or mixtures of existing) bright pigment colors!

I'm actually glad that this came out, I got a sample of CoCo about 2 days before Nocturnelle was released and I LOVED IT so I was really happy to find out Subtle was similar. but I do agree that they come out with similar colors WAYYY TOO MUCH!! honestly, the holiday collection was so rediculous! only 2 of the palletts had 4 new colors, and the other ones only had 1 or 2. the only good thing that I don't think is similar to any other products is Passionate e/s.

yeah...passionate is a bright red that isn't similar to any existing e/s...
a must buy for all MAC collectors
