Suggestions for dry acne prone skin!

Hey everyone,
I'm really hoping I can get some good product recommendations here! I appreciate any advice or suggestions.

I moved to Georgia from Southern CA about 3 years ago (I'm 26 now). Since moving to GA I have had all kinds of skin problems. My biggest concerns are combating acne and dry skin simultaneously. My skin has also become much more sensitive/red and I am more prone to have allergic reactions to topical products (never had a single allergic reaction when I was in CA). I've been going to a dermatologist for years now, but just can't seem to get my skin under control here in GA. Every time I visit CA my skin clears up and goes back to how it used to be.

I would love to hear if anyone has had similar skin problems when moving to a new climate! I would also love to hear about any products anyone with similar problems has had success with! I really need a good cleanser, moisturizer, and foundation. I'm on topical prescriptions for the acne, so I'm not really looking for acne treatment products. I just need good gentle products that won't make me break out.

It almost sounds like you're having an allergic reaction to something! Do you have any allergies, or have you ever been tested?

As for products for you skin, I would suggest Cetaphil cleanser; it's EXTREMELY gentle, no added colors or frangrances. It was a godsend for me when I was on Accutane. I would also suggest using Aquaphor for the dry places on your skin-don't be scared of it! It can't clog your pores or make you break out, I promise. I use it daily, and it's incredibly moisturizing.

As for acne treatments, there's nothing I can think of that would help without drying your skin out more, so I think that would be a better question for your dermatologist, but I really do suggest you look into being tested for skin allergies.

I hope your skin calms down!

Sounds extremely sensitive to something in that environment...are you using different products there? eating different foods? Sometimes it's the quality of the water in a new place, or it could be the climate change. I wouldn't treat it for Acne, I don't think it's that, and acne creams and products tend to be so harsh, therefore making the problem so much worse!
