suicide cults

ok so i learnt about this yesterday and ever since i cant stop thinking about it, i think its really fascinating, the one in particualar i learnt about was 'heavens gate' for those who dont know was a cult of 39 who believed their bodies were 'contaniers' and they were meant to 'go' by dying to this 'spaceship' behind the hale bopp comet which was in 1997. i found it really interesting to learn about and if anyone has any comments i would love to hear them
