Look into "snowballing" your credit card debt. It's the fastest way to get out.

Anytime anyone here brings up credit, I recommend a visit to creditboards.com. Best advice on the net!

Call your credit card companies up and ask them to lower your APR. If you're in good standing and haven't done that recently, they probably will.

I would also cut down your spending to the bare minimum. Being debt-free is much better than any makeup or clothing you could buy

I use my credit card for everything, but that's because I don't want to be smacked with debit charges and it helps build good credit. That being said...

I make absolutely certain that I pay back every last penny when the next month rolls around. Did you know that if you owed $500 and paid back $499, they'd still charge you interest on the full $500? Yep. You can lose a lot of money that way. Think of it this way: if you keep your credit card payed off, you can actually buy more with the money you were previously spending on interest! That, and you never have to stress about being in debt.
