sunbathing

I wish I could have a decent tan for just ONCE IN MY LIFE. I work in full sun 40 hours a week (I just use some SPF 30 on my face) and I get NO COLOR AT ALL. I can kinda get color going to the tanning bed, but I only do this before a beach vacation so I don't turn into a lobsta. My mom is 45 with that gorgeous tan olive skin and dark hair, and I ended up like my dad, pale as pale can be with blonde hair. Sigh. At least I've come to terms with it.

My mom almost died of advanced melanoma so it's a big NAY for me. Did you know you can actually harm your skin in the middle of winter? UV rays can still get through the clouds. Yikes. My mom has to wear the highest SPF available all the time, all year. She just can't afford to take the risk. Plus I'm too obsessive to sit around for long. I sit for five minutes and notice sticks on the beach that look like they need to be organized. Sad, but that's me.

I love the sun, and fortunately I tan just right, no matter how long I stay out...I am the type to go to the beach and lay out to enjoy the sun. I do NOT let myself get the african look though. I ALWAYS wear spf35 and spf45 on my face. Immediatly after, I wash off and moisturize!

I looove the sun but to be honest we don't get that much of it here in Wales. We are between the Mountains and the Sea and are cursed with poor weather it seems.
I love to tan and feel much more confident when I have a bit of colour, but I do use a high factor Sunscreen and tan gradually now. Unlike when we used to plaster our selves with factor 4 and roast.

biigg NAY for sure. i dont have any desire to look like a leather belt when im 35. and i really enjoy being fair skinned. i wear 50 spf whenever i go outside. . and tanning booths are discusting (not only damaging) people sweat in there. and you think spraying it down with there cleaner is gonna clean it? i dont think so .
