tanning

so, since it's hot and sunny again, that means beach trips and pool parties are in the very near future. and i don't want to miss out on anything this summer, so i'm working on getting my tan back. i went out yesterday for 30 minutes and got a few shades darker with the use of baby oil. my goal is an even tan, does anyone have any tips or tricks on acheiving an even tan? of course i'll have tanlines, but like my forearms are already kind of tan, how do i go about getting the rest of my body caught up with them?

ps. let's not get into a skin cancer discussion, please.

don't don't don't use baby oil...bad juju, but if you are someone who tans easily, use an spf of 8 and reapply it regularly. You'll still brown but just not as quickly.

I bought this stuff called "Sun Girl" at Wal-Mart that's a glitter gel w/ spf 4 and it works super well ^.^
Baby oil sucks because sand stick to you... if you use a low spf you can tan more easily than with no SPF, Banana Boat makes a few good low spf oils (like Trophy Oil).

It's like basting in cooking oil then sitting in the oven.

Baby oil can lead to burns much more easily than a proper tanning oil would.
