Tarte Gel Cheek Stains

Yup!
I love blushing bride! Tipsy didn't work for me and let me just tell you that Sephora swatch is way off for Tipsy. It's more of a MAC style blush in gel form. I also found Tipsy to be gritty.
DollFace is also a bit gritty. Gel and shimmer just don't mix well.

These look so natural!

I got the mini set that Blushing bride, Tipsy and (LE) Sugar Baby.

I have oily skin and they wear like a dream for me. Very natural looking and easy to apply/blend.

I have Flush and it's o-kay. I prefer the MAC blushcremes, NARS cream blushes and Smashbox skintints. The Tarte ones are too sheer for me. They also give you that glossy kind of look but I like a more opaque matte or pearl finish.

they're the only blushes I generally wear, besides the occasional mac msf.

mac will be coming out with similar cheekstains later this year, I've heard.

my favourites of the tarte stains are blushing bride and flush. bb is more natural than flush, btw.

Here ya go... I just made a swatch of a few that I currently have. Sorry, but I ran out of Blushing Bride earlier this month and probably won't be replacing it for a while. I also gave away a few of my others, but I still have these 4 on hand. Hope they help some. I'm NC-25 for reference, and these were taken without flash. With flash, they didn't show up at all:

Also, these are unblended.

Lovely karen just did you a few and I can do you one of Blushing Bride as I gave my Tipsy away and Sugar baby is clear with glitter.

I wouldn't recommend them for oily skin. It felt greasy and sticky to me (although NARS multiples and Benetint are good for my skin).

Thanks karen. I'm a nc 20-25, so that totally rocks! Is tipsy too orange on your skiin? Because I look really bad in orange.

Tipsy is really too light to turn orange-y on me. It's a somewhat warm sheer peach on my skin.
Blushing Bride is absolutely, without a doubt, the most flattering of all of them on me. I wish I hadn't run out, so I could swatch it for you.
It looks SO scary in the tube, but it's BEAUTIFUL!

I love those kind of stains but as a word of caution apply to a sponge or your fingers and then blend - if you are like me and have problems with oily skin or larger pores and you apply the stick directly to your face it tends to collect in and clog your pores *ick*

I have Tipsy, Flush, Tickled Peach, and Blushing Bride. I used to have Dollface but I swapped them away. They are really getting expensive, so I would only get one if you really love the color. Tipsy and BB are my favorites.

It would be nice for MAC to come out with gel blush!

I have blushing bride...it's ok. I have combination skin and it breaks my cheeks out like crazy! Also, when I apply it, it seems to "erase" my foundation under it. I also experience massive stickiness, but I get rid of that problem by using Clean & Clear oil absorbing film after I apply my gel blush. HTH

I loooooooove my cheek stain. I have Flush and I have very, very pale warm-toned skin (NC 15). Blushing Bride wasn't available when my boyfriend (!) bought Flush for me, but that one is a better color for me. Still, Flush is the exact color that I DO blush. No problems breaking out or anything even on my oily skin. And it really lasts all day.

I find the best application is to swipe your finger over it, tap it on your cheeks (a little goes a LONG way for pale me) and blend.

How strange I purchased by Blushing Bride two days ago... right now I'm in love... I have a pregnant flush all day... is that wrong? Oh well, I love it.... It is sticky at first and I thought I would have to take it off but like 15 min later it was just fine.

quoted this because it's worth noting.
The first time I used a tarte cheekstain I swore them off because I thought it was too sticky. I gave it another try a few weeks later and fell in LOVE(in case you can't tell from this thread). It really does absorb rather quickly after the first application. I've learned to wipe it with a washcloth before using it the first time. It makes a difference, imo. Once you rub it in, all stickiness disappears, also.

Also, nessa's swatch of BB is a great one. very true to the colour. Once it's blended in completely, it looks more natural, though. Trust me.

Since you(classic beauty) said you were the same colour as me, I'll tell you now to avoid dollface(as shown above) and Tickled Peach(which I've since given away). Both were far too light to make any difference whatsoever to NC25 skin. If you do get one that's too light, as a tip, sometimes they make a decent lipstain(dollface does for me).
