Honestly I've had better results with Crest Whitestrips. The Advanced ones are really great and they are a lot cheaper too. I like to use them while showering at night and while doing my makeup in the morning.

I don't think dental insurance would cover that type of thing anyway, since it's considered "cosmetic." I know at my dental office it's about $500.00 for the laser whitening, and I believe about $300.00 for the trays. I know when I did have dental insurance the price remained the same.

Have you tried the at-home techniques first? You can get pretty darn good results with it! I am a smoker and drink coffee and wine, so my teeth were getting a bit yellowish.

I'm doing the strip method now, but not Crest since we don't get that brand here, but I tried the Crest ones before in Canada. I'm using a brand called Odol, and I find it better than the Crest whitestrips because the material is more grippy so it molds to your teeth better and stays in place. It's stronger too, I think. I've only been doing it for like a few days so far and I'm already noticing results! Last time I did it a lot of people complimented how nice my teeth looked.

I'd try some of those at-home products first and see what works, I think getting it done professionally is really expensive.

Defintiely try the Whitestrips! I've gotten beautiful results with them. Laser whitening is both very expensive, plus can cause some BAD sensitivity in your teeth because the bleaching content is so high. The sensitivity varies from person to person, but I'd go with the Whitestrips first and foremost.

Go to the dentist to get a cleaning. Whitening products won't do much good if you have tartar buildup which causes a yellow tinge on your teeth.

Try some at-home products before shelling out the big bucks for whitening at the dentist. Be careful of what products you use though. Depending on the application method or the level of peroxide in them they may irritate your gums.

I've used Crest White-Strips a couple years ago and found them to be messy and awkward (although effective

They whitened my teeth about 3-4 shades over the course of 2 weeks). I tried the paint-on stuff from Colgate and didn't notice any difference.

I just started with GoSmile B1's this week and already I've noticed a 4 shade whitening difference in 4 days! It's definitely one of the priciest at-home systems but worth it IMO. I was chatting with the girl at Sephora and she told me that if you're not a smoker and don't drink coffee/wine regularly the results will last for 2 years. She pointed out that if after a couple of days I didn't like the product I could always bring it back to Sephora - I mean how many places would let you return a tooth whitening product?

So far I'm very impressed with GoSmile

I highly recommend whitening your teeth yourself. The professional one is a lot faster but it is so expensive and does not last as long as they claim to be.

Thanks for the tip about the GoSmile B1's. I have been thinking about this product for a long time and wondered if it was worth the cost, so keep us posted on how you're doing.

If you are going to use the strips DO NOT buy the Walmart brand. I did this to save a few bucks and they are worthless. They are nothing like the Crest ones. They are thicker and very sticky. When I closed my mouth they stuck to each other and pulled right off my teeth. Good luck and let us know what you try and how it works for you.
