Tell me I don't need the kabuki brush

I went to the MAC counter at Dillards with a specktra girl Thursday and I touched the kabuki brush. I should have NEVER done that because now I want it sooooo bad but I could get a bunch for $45 bucks. Anyways, I could justify it if by getting this I wouldn't need the skunk brush. There is no way I am getting both. What do you guys think? Which one would I use more. I want it though cause it's so incredibly soft.

Personally I'd go for the 187 eventhough I don't use a MAC blush/body brush. I think that you'll get better product application with it than the Kabuki, and you probably won't use as much either.

I'd go for the 187. the Kabuki is really nice, I just picked it up, but Bobbi Brown has a pretty nice one that's at least $10 cheaper.

My MA told me that they are going to make the Kabuki perm since people love it so much and they sold a bunch of it. But since the 187 is perm and I am not holding my breath on them making the kabuki perm I think I am going to buy it.

I bought it today, after telling them how they need to make it permanent. It's just too soft not to. Just like you, touching it was my downfall, I NEVER should have done it. I might be $45 richer... I think the 187 is a good brush, but kabukis are very versitile, and I'm sure you'll use it for more than you think. You could do your whole face, minus the eyes (unless you want a blob of one color on your whole eye area I suppose), with it...

yeah, and I like my Kohl's Flirt skunk brush better than the MAC 187- the Flirt brush is a little smaller, so it's easier for me to control where I'm putting my color...

I'm feeling the same way like you my dear MAC addict...I touched it and fell in love with! But I would pet it more than use it so I skipped it!

The 187 is THE best brush ever!!

I'm not going to buy it. I'm determined not to buy it! I really can't afford it so I must NOT buy it. I know I'm going to feel sad once it's gone though.

I just wanted to add that smashbox just came out with a new kabuki for its bronzer line, $38 CND (the MAC one is $55), and it comes with a cute little silken carrying case. I picked one up today, it was soft and had a really nice shape.

I just loved the carrying case

So glad you got the brush! I ordered the four Icon brushes, but decided to return them because they were smaller than I thought they'd be. But I just couldn't return than kabuki brush. It's pure heaven!

I'd say forget about both the 187 and Kabuki and go for the #129. I really love it, it's so versatile, and I have more control with the bristles than I do with the 187.

I had no intention of buying a thing from this line, BUT I ended up getting the kabuki brush and the pink velvet lip laquer. I adore this brush, however I feel it should have come in a little case. I plan on emailing Mac about this. The kabuki brush is the softest brush I have and I will use this brush every day. So glad I bought it.
