The best skin care products

i have normal/combination skin and i break out pretty reguarly but it's not too bad, just a blemish here or there every few days but they really add up! and i've always had a problem with congestion (whiteheads and blackheads and such) on and in the corners of my nose.
i've tried TONS of skin care products: cetaphil, neutrogena, clean and clear, biore, almay, olay, mac, proactiv, aveda, etc. but the one brand that has worked best for me, and now i hardly EVER break out, is kiehl's. i use their gentle foaming cleanser with my clarisonic brush and then apply their lightweight moisturizer. once a week i exfoliate with a mix of brown sugar and white sugar and i'm still on the hunt to find my favorite face mask!
also, the one thing that has SAVED my skin (and i can't believe it took me forever to get this) is wash your makeup off before bed!!!

i think the most important step for healthy skin is cleansing, staying hydrated, and rest well. seriously, those steps are very important. But routine procedures aside i like to use shiseido white lucent collection on my dry skin which helps moisturize my skin while giving a healthy glow.
once in a while i'll exfoliate my face with olive oil and sugar.

Right now I am using the Vitamin E creme facial cleanser from The Body Shop and I love it. My skin feels wonderful when I use it. I stopped recently to use another product someone recommended (which was Clinique's "take the day off") and I started getting flaky and I broke out after about a week. As soon as I went back to the Vitamin E creme cleanser, my skin cleared right up. I have combination skin and I highly recommend this product.
I have 3 stashed away because I don't ever want to be without it!

Paulas Choice by Paula Begoun. I have always been a big fan of her books ad thourougn research, and I LOVE her products as well. It's very serious and scientificly based skin care, and I like that.

My Fave face wash is Cleansing Oil - Best type of cleanser ever! Gets all the makeup off! I like Kracie Naive, but that is a Japanese brand so I don't know how easy it is for people to get here. I see it at Japanese Stores, like Mitsuwa Market though, and you can buy online sometime.
