Scenario:
you live with your friend/roommate. you come home and there's $200 on the floor and you know it didn't come from you. would tell your friend assuming that it's hers or would you spend it???? keep in mind, you both frequently have company over as well so you really don't know anything except that it's not yours. what do you do?

*i have random thoughts that pop in my head but you ladies are pretty smart and i always like to hear what you have to say*

(and no this didn't happen to me. just want thoughts)

you find out that your boyfriend cheated. what's worse is your best friend saw it happening and never told you. you go out and see her boyfriend out with another girl. would you tell her???

I would ask my roommate if they lost some money, If it is theirs they will know exactly how much they are missing without you telling them how much you found...If not I would hold it until someone asked about it...which I'm sure they would...

But, I personally would not just spend it no... unless it went unclaimed for a very long period of time...

the IF game part 2 of #1

you're at the store. you want to buy more christmas presents for your fam but have no more money. you find $200 on the floor and proceed to pick up more items. in line at check out you hear a frantic woman behind you, telling an employee of the store that she's lost $200 and desperately needs it and asks them to keep a lookout for it. keep in mind, the cashier is ringing your items as you hear this going on. what do you do???

I would let her know I found the money.....

I left my wallet once in a Kroger basket outside after I removed my groceries...someone turned it in at the customer service desk with all my money, cc's and everything still in tact. There are some honest people in the world, Thank Goodness.

I would first ask the roommate if s/he or one of her guests lost money. Then I'd give it two months or so before spending it.

(remember that these are strictly hypothetical "what would you do if" questions)

say that you enter a drawing for MAC and a MAC rep calls you and tells you that you won a $500 gift card and all they need is your mailing address to send it to you. but before giving your address you notice that they call you by someone else's name (meaning that's really the person who won and not you) . and that they aren't even asking you to verify that it is indeed you who they're speaking with. all you have to do is give your address to get the gift card. what do you do??

I would ask about it. See if the roomates friends report the money missing. If no one reports it I would probably save it for a rainy day.. maybe eventually someone would mention they lost it.

I would ask them to repeat the person's name again they are looking for and tell them that is not my name, but I did however enter the drawing...which I would have had to if they had my number ...and pray they say Oh it was our mistake you are still the winner... But I would make sure they verified that they did not indeed pull my name for certain prior to hanging up.

It depends on what I see. I couldn't do the same thing to her that made me so upset to begin with. So, if I saw him getting intimate with someone, or if the circumstances were suspicious, yeh I'd let her know.

EDIT: OH WAIT HOLD ON! I misread. She SAW my bf cheating on me???? I'd have kicked both their asses to the curb lmao

I am sorry but I would not even say a word. B/c at this point we would not be friends. There's one thing that take a very long time to get from me and thats trust. If she saw my man with another girl I expect a phone call that min no matter what.
