The most bizarre haul ever? And a sausage roll

My haul today is;

• Ten borosilicate glass rimless test tubes 75mm x 10mm
• A 10ml stoppered measuring cyliner
• Five Pyrex test tubes with screw caps 100mm x 16mm
• A micro spoon end stainless steel 105mm spatula
• A pack of 50 disposable black 5ml weighing boats
• A 250ml Pyrex conical flask
• A 50ml Pyrex conical flask
• A set of Pyrex petri dishes
• An electronic chemical balance with display resolution and accuracy of 10mg
• A sausage roll (I'm not sure you have these in the States hence the link)

Bizarre perhaps but actually makeup related. I'm going to do some very basic chemical comparisons between genuine M·A·C pigments and counterfeit pigments. It'll be a few days before I have anything further to report as I have to wait for all this stuff to be sent by post (with the exception of the sausage roll which was today's lunch)

Goodness, thank you! Nobody's ever accused me of being anything else

I do have a scientific research background and worked in a lab developing medical diagnostics for four years as well as having spent several years at university playing in labs too. I was just thinking last night how useful it would be to be able to use those labs again as I'd have access to a full range of equipment and chemicals.

My home tests are going to be much more limited but I do hope to show some chemical differences between the real and fake products.

but im a vegan lol so even if we did have sausage rolls it wouldnt really matter haha

omg no sausage rolls? for those americans who aren't vegan, you're missing out! They aren't really like hot dogs at all....it's puff pastry and the meat is more like a really fine mince inside....like the filling of a regular sausage (more german style) rather than a hotdog. Check out the wikipedia link in the original post and it's got a picture. I really want one now...but instead I'll go for a healthsome swim after work hehe.

I make awesome vegan saussage rolls. I raid my vegan friends pantry for all the ingredients though

sanitarium made a vegan saussage roll mix for a while. But I think they added eggs to it

But yeah the filling is like fine mince, with some onion, carrot and sometimes some herbs - well the ones I make anyway.

even sausages arent all the "popular" here in the states mostly just regular hot dogs sausages are considered more fancy since their more expensive.
usually you only eat them at restraunts or at a big dinner


unless you eat the cheap breakfast sausage
