Welcome! There is a big thread about foundation I will look for it...
On mac's website there is a choice to chat with a makeup artist they will go thru the process of how you decide if you want some basic help, going to a counter is also a great way to actually try out the shades and usually get a sample to see if you like it before you buy it.
