The Reason Why

This is the reason why I wanted to learn to do my own makeup.

When I graduated from highschool, I had a pro do my makeup and was pretty much traumatized. I grew up as a tomboy and had no clue about makeup up until then. I looked so much older than I was. Ugh!

Looking back I can laugh and be glad that I don't actually do my makeup that way...or wear my hair that way.

I can't believe I have one of those "What was I thinking!" moments caught on film....especially for my grad photo.

I don't think the makeup is bad at all, but you don't look like a high school girl, more like someone who just made partner at a law firm.

I am also never happy when someone does my brows? Anyone feel the same?

In that picture....it was just too bold for me. I hate deviating from my natural brow shape. Too high maintenance for me.

It looks like they tried to give you an eye crease, or make what you already have look 74237437298743x more pronounced. Yuck. If wasn't for that, your make-up would actually look clean and appropriate for a school photograph.

ETA: on behalf of my profession, though, I should point out that we're not mind readers. If you don't want your eyebrows emphasised a certain way, say so. If you want a particular style of make-up, say so. If you don't give any ideas or don't tell us what you like, then all we can do is guess and come up with something that you'll probably hate.
