Lately I've been making it a point to use my 88 and 78 palette more. I always see name brand colors that I crave, but then a few weeks later I'll randomly scan my palettes and see that I have something super similar already. For example, I kept telling myself (for the last 3 months) that I need a nice metalic silver eyeshadow, because Uzi (by Urban Decay) is super glittery, and the fallout from it is horrible. But then I realized I forgot that I have 3 or 4 silvers between those two palettes LOL.
So anyway, for this I simply used a combination of 2 silvers on my lid, a dark matte purple (which I think is a fairly good substitute for MUFE 92) more heavily blended out in my crease, and a matte black to deepen my crease and fade into the black on the outer 1/3 or so on my eyelid. I also did a black to purple to silver blend on my lower lash line. For the lips, I put Pink Nouveau down first, then dabbed some of the original Viva Glam Gaga lipstick on top. I even got compliments on my lipstick from a guy, which was cool (especially since he was the one I had gotten "dressed up" for). Not that guys never do, but typically, it's girls that really notice my makeup and compliment it LOL.
This was super easy to do and while many would consider this a look for nighttime or going out, I totally wore this during the day, and only during the day. But you know me! I did feel like my face makeup went down the toilet by late afternoon/early evening which is so weird because I used a primer on it... Buuuut I think that might be the problem. I haven't been using my Photo Finish Light by Smashbox recently, and my makeup has been looking better. I used it today and it was good at first, but didn't last as long as it has been without. I think it's because the one I was using is older and needs to be replaced, because I never had that problem before. Then again, maybe my skin is changing due to weather or just because I'm getting "older". I guess I'll have to do some experimenting to find out the culprit.
