So despite my perpetual state of brokeness, with clever budgeting (via a decision to opt for lipstick and rice risotto over more substantial foods), a generous Dad & other relatives and my lifelong love for the good old fashion lay-by, I've been getting ALOT of stuff lately. This is just this week
Yay!
It's the lead up to my 21st (22 days til the bash, 23 days til the big day itself) so I've been treating myself. My family & I went up to Auckland for an overnight trip which meant visiting not one, but TWO MAC Counters in MY OWN COUNTRY, for the first time!
Yeah, I'm weird. Only been to them in Australia last year. The MA's were sooooo lovely! I want to go back already. I also had my weekly two China Glaze polishes arrive, and after selling one of my cellphones today, I headed down to my favourite $2 shop to get some more Jordana polishes. I also had some newly sanitized (except for the lipstick) MAC stuff arrive.
So, without further ado...
MAC Alexander McQueen Paint Pot - Electro Sky - soooo beautiful! Couldn't wait to try it out
MAC shadows - Waternymph & Steamy bought from Trademe and Birds & Berries and Hot Hot Hot bought at the MAC counter
MAC lashes & $2 shop lashes
Wet & Wild Fantasy Makers Vampish Red - bought for Frankening but it's actually awesome by itself! Silver polish is just for frankening, same with the green glitter. I used all of these added to half a bottle of pale ivory pink to make the franken I'm wearing in the picture.
Orly Razzle, China Glaze IDK & It's Poppin', Jordana White, Lilac Hearts & Red of Hearts (I'd been looking for these last two for ages!)
Jordana Fuchsia Flicker, Blue Flash, Garlic Growth Basecoat and Pearly White Nail Whitener
Guerlain Meteorites in Mythic & Fresh Pink - anyone know how I can sterilize these? They were in a bulk lot that I purchased for the MAC stuff.
Duo Lash glue, Shu Uemura eyeliner - 11 Me Bronze gold, freshly sharpened, Styli-Style eyeliner - Slate (AMAZING colour)
Elizabeth Arden Meditteranean Body Shimmer with Puff (again, sterilization issue)
MAC Lipstick in Jest - whee, a nice find! Need to buy some isopropyl so I can thoroughly sterilize this before I even swatch it since it's from 03 :O
Whoops! Forgot to include the shadestick I picked up from MAC, Sea Me
Not usually a blue person AT ALL but as you may be able to tell, I've been drawn to them lately, and this blue blew me away - no pun intended
Also bought my younger sister/cousin (it's complicated) a concealer, she's 16 and has always had really dark undereye circles - she's also half Bangladeshi so we've always struggled to find a colour match let alone anything with enough pigmentation to do the job. But MAC to the rescue! The MA was awesome with her (she's super shy) and she left looking absolutely amazing and feeling great. Going to surprise her with the Studio Fix powder they tried on her too in a week or so, yay!
