Those That Do Makeup Videos On Youtube

Hey! So I wasn't really sure where to put this thread, so feel free to move this if necessary. So I'm considering doing makeup related videos on youtube (once I practice a bit more!) and I'm looking for advice from all those who post on youtube.
Do you guys use webcam or just normal digital cameras? Or actual video cameras? If you are using a digital camera how can you see what you are recording?
Lol I hope I don't sound like an idiot for asking that question.

i use a digital camera, i put a mirror behind it so i can see the screen at the back through the mirror, sounds silly lol but it works

I use my beloved digital, and I just keep it on the shelf in my bathroom. I took pics with it there to be sure my full face was in view, and I did test recordings. I do the mirror trick when I take pics!
