In Tucson, many things happen during the summer:
It gets hot.
Student populations leave normally en masse until August.
Students graduate and either leave or flood the local job industry.
It is also the low season for films to be made as you would only be an idiot to subject yourself to monsoon and heat stroke risk (I personally like living on the edge with that)!
So, I have decided to apply to our local freestanding store as a freelancer ahead of the graduate rush.
My question is - how busy is too busy? I know freelancers are called upon, but I'm not sure of how often. Here's my school schedule - please ignore the conflict (I will explain below).
This is 17 credits. I also am working on stage management for a One Acts Festival at the end of the semester (end of April) which will increasingly require more work after 4 or 5pm (to 12am) as it gets closer to opening. As for the class conflict area - that is just to show I will be working for 2 of our bigger shows - doing wig building and maintenance (40 hours worth for the semester).
Should I apply? Am I going to be too busy and having to say "No" that MAC will just drop me? Etc etc.
