Traincase! black or silver?

So I'm going to be moving in about 2 months to San Diego. So I figured it's about time I get myself a train case to organize my makeup. Buttt I can't decide, black or silver? Advice, opinions? And do you know of good (won't fall apart lol), AFFORDABLE cases? I was looking at the ones on ebay...

I think black - silver ones tend to look a bit cheap - esp if they were, well...cheap, lol. Whereas black always looks stylish, smart and trendy - a feat silver never quite manages to accomplish.

I really adore my japonesque one, and it wasnt too expensive - I have it in black, but it also comes in lots of wacky colours (green, orange pink etc) which all look really cool.

Black. If it's silver, especially like shiny silver, it will leave fingerprints.

Yea i would think an affordable silver one would look kinda like tin sooo hopefully once i have a collection traincase worthy i'll get a black one!!

silver all the way, mine gets moved alot and scratched, it gets annoying to touch it up all the time

I don't know about any cheap ones that won't fall apart =/ I got the midnight traincase from Sephora in black for my birthday last year, & it still looks brand new. It's holds a lot of stuff & it's very durable. It was 90 bucks, but I think it's worth it 'cause it's great! good luck finding one

Black is classic and looks professional.
Silver is trendy, oh well at the moment. But who knows when the trend will go and makes the owner not trendy ...

Black! I got on off ebay and it was a piece of @$#^. It broke on me in about 2 months. I got a black on from Sephora and its great.

WHY ARE THEY SO EXPENSIVE?? Where can I get a japonesque one? thelove4tequila, can you PM me the seller on ebay who sold you the crappy train case please?

I, myself, also own the Sephora Midnight Train Case in black. Love it. If you can, go for that one. Otherwise, you can get Japonesque train cases at Nordstrom. I saw it in black, red and pink, I think. They're also available at Ulta.com.

Silver for me.

I have had a case similar to this one (mine is Japonesque) for 15 years. Back then I paid about $300. Now these are under $100:

I've had this one from Yazmo for about 4 years. I replaced the other because I needed mor space. It's perfect, holds all my professional make-up, supplies and air-brush equipment. I paid around $225 for it.

When I fly, I used to gate check it for less abuse. Now, I wrap it in a vellum blanket and put it inside a regular softside suitcase. I love it and how it looks and the quality is superb!

When time permits, I ship it to where I have to work using FedEX. Not cheap but cheaper than replacing your stuff.

Yep, silver for me!
