If you guys are traveling and restricted in the amount of liquids you can bring with you, what do you usually take in your carry-on if you're not checking any bags?
I'll be going on a trip soon but it will be short (under a week).

I'm even looking for alternative options such as I'm taking bar soap instead of gel or liquid soap.

Taking bar soap is a good idea. Shampoo bars instead of shampoo, too.

I just have a set of small generic plastic bottles / containers that I decant my normal products into. That way I don't have to switch from my usual products, and it's more enviro-friendly than specifically buying travel sized products.

^ That's what I've with me when I'm travelling. For moisturiser, night cream and such, I usually store them in small sample jars I got from Sephora or MAC.
