Trucco eye/lip/cheek paints

I was in the beauty supply with my mom today and saw the Trucco spring artists palette. It had four paints for the lips, eyes, and cheeks and then three pencils for, well, I think lips and eyes but I'm not sure. It was $58 and the paints looked exactly like MAC paints. Has anyone tried them? They were all pretty pinks and purple colours. I passed hoping that somebody here has tried them. Are these good? If so, I need her to get them for me. Sigh, the addiction grows and grows.

I am going to my salon in the morning and I will ask my stylist what she thinks.
They carry that line.
She has commented a few times on it and said she uses the line. Her eye makeup always looks great!

Thanks Vanessa. Of course at the beauty supply they went on and on about how great they were, but I need a real opinion before I spend $$ that could have been spent on MAC instead

I totally understand. My stylist doesn't make any commision on the line and I trust her judgement. I am going to see if the m/u artist there has time to "play" with me! LOL
I'll let you know my thoughts when I get back.

Ok here's the lo-down.
Overall a good line. They didn't have the paints.
However, a few ladies came in while I was looking and they raved about the gloss and eyeshadows! I asked if any of them used MAC and no one knew what I was talking about!

Then again our mall doesn't have any makeup lines. I think there might be a small Estee counter but that's it!
My stylist said she knew of MAC had not tried any MAC products. No help again! Grrr!
I really didn't get to test much because my son was complaining.
I was told by the other ladies that it's worth shopping around for a good price because a few salons in my town carry Trucco but they all have them priced differently.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. The MA that is usually there had already left for the day.
Overall my stylist gave the line a B+.

Thanks Vanessa. I am going to check them out when I go and maybe see if I can try some out. The beauty supply doesn't usually have testers because it is a wholesale store. If you happen to hear anything else, let me know.

Trucco is the cosmetics line made by Sebastian. A ton of makeup artists use this in their kit, including myself. Their lipglosses are fabulous and their eyeshadows are great too. I saw the paints set you're talking about the last time I was at their Pro store but didn't get a chance to play around with them. But if the quality's as good as their other products, then you have nothing to worry about.

*bump* because I just bought one an hour ago and I must say: LOVE IT!!! (played with it for the last half hour

)

I got Violet Vogue which looks like Violet pigment with a bit more red undertones.
the tube looks exactly like mac paints but the product is a bit more creamier/fluider (is that a word?) it's more blendable then MAC paints and it dries slower so it's great if you put e/s or pigments on top because it graps the color better (I tried it with Trax, Gleam, Flirty Number and Violet)

but the best thing about them is that you can use them as a blush and lipcolor aswell, and especially as a blush - it blends like a dream!!!

The beauty supply actually had these out as testers when I was there last week and I must say they are really nice. The colours are all pink and purple except for one which is more rosy taupe. They seem more sheer and like MissBehave said, more creamy than mac paints. I love the colour selection though. For the springtime, the colours are hot. Plus they can be used on cheeks and lips and when I swatched the back of my hand, the colour stayed and stayed and stayed. I didn't have $$ to buy them, but I will definitely go back for them
