Well it was supposed to be this Friday..Ok, anyways so that was Wednesday that the manager at the St.Louis Galleria told me that. Then,Thursday I went to the West County Sephora and asked them about it and they were clueless about that. So, I don't think that the manager pulled my leg because the Urban Decay display already showed the changed prices on Wednesday. Maybe, they're doing a test or control run of the price increase, I have no clue. Yeah, I was wondering how the hell could the increase the price like that and expect to keep their customer base. Its definitely odd that its one location..I'm goin to go check the 3rd location sometime this weekend to see if it has changed either. So, sorry I wasn't trying to mislead anyone.

They had a new display with the new prices printed? That's retarded it's only one location. No one's going to buy UD from that location then of course.

Not to beat a dead horse, but you posted on Thursday and saw the changed prices on the display the day before? We were under the impression that the mgr. dropped a bug in your ear. You never said anything about seeing the price change.

I went to work today, and a rep from Urban was there selling and training, I asked about the price hike and she said she hadn't heard anything like that because they'd already done a price change earlier this year, things moved up 50c to $1 and it probably won't change again until early next year. So wherever you went couldn't have been a Sephora. We don't change our prices at individual stores, price changes are reflected company wide unless a line in a store goes on sale or items are damaged, they can be discounted (which is rare). Our prices reflect the prices set by the company, they're the same as ther prices at Ulta, UD.com or wherever else the line is sold. There's been no price hike, at least in the US throughout our company and theirs.

Sorry, after I read all the posts I realized that I didn't say mention anything about seeing the display in the store. So, yeah I saw the changed prices on display but they weren't supposed to be in effect until Friday...I am as confused with this as of all of you are...I'm goin to go check that store again Monday or Tuesday.

I called St Louis Galleria (3148632600)and t/a rep and she said there is NOT a price increase. They were sent some wrong 'price tiles' and thought there would be an increase. SO NO INCREASE. WOOTWOOT!!

Sounds like they were posting Canadian prices. PP is $22CDN, a completely insane mark up over the US price.

it might be what is considered a test market. they test only a few selected stores that carry their products of the price change, and usually only for a period of time to see how different the # of sale is when compared, as well, as totally revenue/earnings to see which is better and if it's worth it to change all the store's price.
