UD new coloured mascaras!

Well... I nipped through to our larger boots store to finally have a look at these, today - and I tried all 4 colours....

"Black cherry" I felt just looked too much like my eyes were sore or swollen/red and "Purple haze" I found too bland, not at all vibrant and just didn't feel it 'added anything'.

However, "Electric blue" was fab and surprisingly, so is "Indigo".
I thought that indigo would be my least favourite colour, especially as its described as a navy/dark blue on the UD website but its actually more purple-y than I thought it would be, and sooo much nicer than the 'purple haze' one!!

I tried the electric blue on my top lashes, with the indigo on my bottom lashes and I love the effect. It's a really nice combination.

UD recommend the two that I got - the electric blue & indigo - for brown & blue eyes - so u might be surprised

I heard they're only half size of big fatty though? How much was it?

yes, tubes are very small. Cost £8 each, but boots has an offer at the moment - buy 2 urban decay items and get £5 worth of advantage points

Next time that Ulta has a coupon that I can use on UD I will pick up Electric Blue. I seriously need some coloured mascara.

They are tiny.. and purple one kinda sucks..I tried it once, so maybe I need to give it another chance...

No, I think the 'purple haze' one is really poor, and I didn't particularly like the black cherry one either as just made eyes looks swollen/red! The only two I liked, were the two I bought - electric blue and indigo (which is purple-y too & much better than purple haze which just seemed very dull and bland)

I'm just starting to pay attention to makeup again after a long while - I'm old enough that I don't "need" to go out looking for more, but - I knew at some point I would see these kinds of colored mascaras again.

In the early 80s I had a set of 5 that were sold by Neiman Marcus, these were full-sized and came in brown, black, blue, purple, and green. Then as now, the purple didn't have enough pop, but the blue and green were FAB. I miss them, so thanks for posting that they're out there now.

Makeup doesn't seem to go permanently out of style anymore, you can get anything and everything now it seems. In the 80s I had 4 different blue nail polishes (out of the 60 bottles I owned of many colors) and for some time between then and now, you couldn't get blues. Now you can pretty much get anything you want. I was pleased to see Orly at Target recently, I always liked their product. Oops going OT. Well, I'm new here.
