UDDP makes e/s application difficult?

I have been loving the staying power of the UDDP as e/s base. However now I found that the application itself on UDDP is very difficult. It feels "resistant" to blending and control of color intensity and I am a little bit bothered by it.

Does any of you beautifuls have tips you can share on how to avoid this strange problem?

Thanks!!

I would be careful on how much you use. I have heard that if you use alot during application that it is hard to blend. I only use a little bit and it works perfectly.

i agree with melliquor, a little bit of UDPP goes a long way..i found that using too much of it frusterates me because i can't blend they eyeshadows!
hope this helps

I literally use only half a drop on each eye. Can't really see how to make it less on!

Are you letting it set up any. Or do you have anything underneath of it. I was going to say you're using to much too. Cause I know when I started using it, it made my brushes all nasty cause I would use to much.

I don't have dry skin and I really don't think i have too much on. It is just so hard to blend e/s on using a perfectly good soft e/s brush????

I think you are definitely using too much.

Try using even less than you have been and dust a little bit of face powder over it before applying your e/s.

This stuff is amazing, I have NEVER heard of anyone not being satisfied with it.

I know what you mean about it being hard to blend. I use an eye shadow as an all over base to make blending a little easier.

I'd second (third, fourth?) the just use a little suggestion, then I'd let it dry for half a minute (I tend to do the rest of my face with powder/cheek stuff while I wait) and then I tend to use Shroom all over the eye as a base. It tends to blend more easily after that.. but I might try the powder thing too.

ITA - just use the teensiest tiniest bit, and let it dry. If your brushes are getting sticky then you really are probably using too much, and not letting it dry properly. Its a catch with the UDPP, but once you get the hang of applying it properly you will never look back. Once its dry apply a bone colour like Shroom, or Naked p/g or something to the whole lid - this will assist in blending colours later and then apply whatever colours you like.

I do the same. Apply UDPP, do the rest of your makeup, then apply a natural eyeshadow as base over UDPP and it'll be alot easier to blend.

It should be UDPP (my typo). It stands for Urban Decay Primer Potion.

I agree. No matter how little I use, no matter how much I let it dry, it still seems to "pull" at my brushes, and the eyeshadow color doesn't budge. (at least I know it has staying power, right?

) I've tried over and over to get it to work, but it's still difficult. So I'll usually use it only when I'm going out in the evening and I know I might get a little sweaty and need staying power. Otherwise, concealer works really well for me. But again, I don't deny the staying power of UDPP. I love it for it's staying power.
