Ugh Another Post Office Rant.

Sooo I've had some issues with the post office here quite a bit. My mail getting sent to other peoples houses and vice versa. But the actual post office office you to go to drop stuff off is quite nice and helpful actually, at least my local one is!

But yesterday I was out to ship some packages and was in the downtown area and passed by the post office there. I've only sent packages internationally to family in Asia, other than and sending letters I don't send anything else. So I was expecting that after I explained that a little bit to the worker there that he would be more than willing to help me out. WRONG!

I needed to buy special envelopes and had wanted him to help me pick out the proper one for the things I was sending out. He just tells me to head over to the mailing supply section and I'm just like okay thinking that there would be a huge selection for me to choose from. I spent some time looking over the different ones but still was confused cause they literally besides their size look all the same. I express my confusion to him hoping again for him to help me out. He kind of makes me feel like an idiot the whole time and I'm getting nervous cause really at that moment I did feel like an idiot. He just kind of gives me 2 envelopes and tells me the prices and then heads off. I decided to get the one that had cushioning in it. I go to get estimates but he won't help me. And then he tells me to go over there and points to some random place in the office.

Again, I was confused. So I just go to another counter and the lady there tells me to go to the tables in the middle of the room and fill out all the info. I do so and then go back to her. I hand her the packages with all the info filled out and she just tells me that Delivery confirmation stickers and sheets are on the tables and that I'll have to stick them on next time myself. I'm just like uhh, I'm sorry I didn't know that... I then tell her that I would like my packages first cause I forgot to add the fillers to it and to check the addresses again and when I was still checking one of the packages she just takes it away from me!! WTF?! I was done yet, she had JUST handed that to me like a second ago. I want to make sure everything was right and to also add some fillers in the package to give it more cushion. Was going to say something... but nope she had already sealed them up. All I could do at that point was just check the addresses on it.

I really don't want to visit that office ever again. When I express to someone that I don't understand something very well I expect for them to help me out! I mean it's their job! GRRRRR. Boo for bad customer service!

I don't know WHAT it is but most post offices have the rudest workers. My mom actually cussed one out a couple weeks ago and everyone was smiling and applauding her. They're so rude, they act like we should go in there knowing everything, helloooo, we don't, this is your job for a reason, you were trained for a reason, help a sista out...damn! lol Sorry to rant too but I feel ya girl don't let those ppl get ya down.

I hate the post office as well. I've had numerous problems with them from losing a 20 lb. package (how does the even happen??) to holding my magazines so I get them all on one day ( I pay for a subscription to get them before they hit the newsstands). I refuse to ship anything through the post office because I don't trust them. I ship everything Fed-ex or UPS. I'll pay the extra to have the better tracking and faith that my package will actually make it to where it should be going. The post office wonders why there's been a decline in postage through them... maybe shitty customer service.

Hmm, that's odd. My post office is great. Always friendly and helpful. They've done stuff FOR me just to be nice. And I know a postman in a different town, and he's great and so is his office.

Though he does know one office he says is mean... So guess they're all different.

Thats actually funny cause the one by my house and work is actually pretty nice and helpful when it's obvious you need assistance or if you have any questions. I even spent like 10 minutes talking to one of the ladies who work there about prices for different services through them when I just had to mail a little letter out. She did not mind at all and told me that if I was still confused or forgot the price there all up online.

But the post office I went to send those packages in in downtown was the total opposite!

I don't get it either?! I mean yeah being involved with the shipment and delivery of mail and packages is a very important job. But still doesn't give you the right to pick on the little person just cause they don't understand how everything works! When it's obvious that we need help, or ask for help it's your J-O-B to assist me! It wasn't like I was being demanding and rude with them. I actually was really nice to them cause I wanted them to really help me out and explain things to me plus it's just the right thing to do, to be nice to people and give them respect.

And go mom! go mom!

Please don't get me started on the crappy attitudes I've had from people I've dealt with this week! I almost smacked some guy at Sears for raising his voice at my dad with the wrong tone when my dad was confused about when the sales dates end and start. I was even confused!

Wow, they lost a whole 20 lb package?!! I have no clue either how that can seriously happen. You'd think that it wouldn't be something really hard to spot. A letter or a very tiny package MAYBE but something of that size? Just wow.

I'm getting kind of nervous right now cause I'm still waiting for my checks and temporary login in name from my bank to be sent to me (and oh I'm not too happy with my bank either..but that's a different story lol). It's been almost a week. I should of gotten at least one of those things by now. The idea of some stranger loging onto my bank account online or writing MY checks just makes me shudder.

I've thought about using other companies like FedEx and UPS but I just can't afford it. Shipping is already killing me cause you have to pay for the packaging, fillers if you don't have them already, the actual shipping cost, and any other extra services. I'm just about to buy all the packaging from my work with my employee discount that way I can get a better deal and also choose for myself and pick out the best form of packaging.

My local office is pretty good. The workers there have always been more than willing to answer any questions I had and remind me that if I ever forgot something and need to look it up like the prices I can go to their website. But that downtown offices just bleh.

I'm suppose to be expecting a package anytime now and I'm super nervous. The idea of some stranger getting my MAC goodies or having them arrive DAMAGED makes me cringe and wanna crawl under a rock and die =[

I just got my Nordies package yesterday after I returned home from going out with my parents. There were actually 2 packages on my porch. One from me from Nordies and another for someone named STEVE from house number 112, my house number is 118.

Freaking idiots. It won't kill you to read the what it says on the package would it now?!! So my dad had to walk down and look for the house and give the package back.
