uh oh! (long winded story inside, BEWARE! lol)

i buy things on a whim. all the time. last week i went to the mac pro store and i tried coral co-ordinate lipstick.. and i swear up and down it looked soooo good in there. but then so did like.. 4 other colors so i bought the other colors and decided to buy coral co-ordinate off the website because the store was out of stock.

anyway, i ordered it (i got 2!) as soon as i got home and it should be here any day now... which is awesome.. BUT...

i tried the other lipsticks i bought and they look HORRIBLE on me in natural light! they looked awesome at the store but i have to return them today and so now i'm wondering if the lights played tricks on me with coral co-ordinate as well...

so here are my questions:

1. can i return stuff from the mac website if it's ugly on me? do i have to pay for shipping BACK?

2. does anyone here have it and love it who's a medium-dark olive? i really really want an hg lipstick and i really thought this was it.

p.s. - i'm really sorry for the loooong story.. i'm sick right now and i tend to ramble.

You can return it back to MAC but you are going to have to pay the shipping fee. I do not have that color but I like it when I saw it in the store.

If you send one lipstick back in a padded envelope it only costs like $0.63, not sure about 2, but still very cheap I'm sure. I like Coral Co-Ordinate alot, but I'm an NC20.

that happens to me alot also. i try it in the store and it looks so good and then when i try to wear it at home it looks like crap. i usually go back to the mac counter at my local macys and exchange it with no problems if i dont have a receipt, but if you have a receipt it should be no problem to return

wow they really get you on those shipping charges huh? lol if i had an option to have it sent to me like that i'd take it! lol save myself 5+ bucks!

Well,.. I am an NW20 Fair/mid Olive tone,. and coral coordinate looks killer on me,.. but that might not be any help? I can wear all but the fushia one,... Do you have Indie Girl from Rebel Rock? This reminds me lot of that only in a more taupey-beige tone,...

yeah it helps me sorry a lot less. i would have actually liked indie girl a lot more if it had more beige in it! so it works out! yay.

lighting is horrible in there. at first glance it almost looked like jist.. fortunately i like jist so it's all good. =D

I sent back a few lure items and they were not too bad on shipping. The standard for a small padded envelope was .87
I couldn't complain. Plus they included a printed return label.

i'm an nc42 and coral-coordinate worked fine on me. play around with some lip liners underneath, and some various glosses over it. my particular favorite combo is prep and prime lip (absolute holy grail--this makes all lip products look better, IMO), whirl lip pencil filling in my entire lips, coral coordinate lipstick, and viva glam v lipglass.

i HATE the lighting at counters. it's so deceptive. i wish you luck with returning the lippies and i hope you find your hg!
