Part of it is the fact that the area around the eyes moves so much. That coupled with the fact that the skin around the eyes will show the first signs of aging around our age.
Studio Finish is too thick for me. I like Select cover up or Moisturecover if you are going with MAC. Moisturecover is really moisturizing and amazingly pigmented. I set it with a dusting of MUFE HD powder or Laura Mercier Brightening Powder so it won't get creasy or cakey.
Another good concealer is the Cargo HD concealer. It has an amazing texture. Check it out at Sephora.
Really, there will always be a bit of creasing due to the area, but the formulas and application help. I think the keys are to:
1. Keep the under eye area moisturized
2. Use a concealer that has a thin, fluid formula and set it with a HD-type powder
3. Wear glasses or sunglasses (as needed) to minimize squinting which creases the skin around the eyes
4. Consider carrying a bit of eye cream around in your bag. Halfway through the day, apply it and redo your concealer and powder. Your eyes will be refreshed and happy.
HTH
PS - MUFE has a new HD concealer that sounds promising. I haven't tried it yet, but would definitely give it a shot.
