Hey has anyone been to the MAC Pro Tour? Gordon from MAC is coming to Nordstroms in Pleasanton, CA for a workshop, I was told it was pretty informative and they do makeup and sell Pro products. Anyone been to one? I signed up for it.

Hi! I have been to the pro classes that they have offered at Nordstroms in Seattle for three years straight and have had Gordon at the one last year. He is amazing and really sweet. They usually pick a few people out of the group and do a step by step on them so you can follow along and write them down. They also have 4 or so looks that they give you on a face chart and they usually have the products that go with them. Most of the time they are pro products or ones that you cannot get on the regular website. They always have some cool pigments, liners, brushes, and shadows. It is really informative and you will have a blast!

Gordon is amazing! i attended a breakfast seminar he led last November, and i loved it. he's so friendly and funny... definitely go if you can!

as for the Pro Tour events... i just worked one this past Saturday as a freelancer... the class was informative and went over the basics of makeup application and a sort of intro to "essential" MAC products (of that particular artist's choice, anyway). unfortunately, there was not any Pro product available for purchase, unfortunately -- the "Pro" was the artist, not the product!

i think each event varies slightly by artist, location, etc. but all of these events are worth attending, if you can!

my mom and i are going to the event on the 29th here in towson. my mom just wants to get her make-up done, and after a lot of convincing that she wouldn't look like a clown, she decided to come along with me.

yes, i'm going to one with john s. on the 22nd of april, at nordstrom. i've been to events and seminars before, but never the pro tour, so i'm excited to see how it goes. i even managed to interest my mom in mac, so she's going with me, haha.

ooh, glad to hear john s. is good!

the charges vary by store. some i've heard are 75, fully comped in product, mine is 50 per person, fully comped in product. but they really vary in price, so call your location and ask. also, i know my location will have pro products available for this event only, to purchase, which excites me, even though i'm relatively close to the LA pro store..

Upcoming MAC Pro Tour Info?

Hello, everyone! I'm going to a MAC Pro Event in Seattle on April 30 and was wondering if anyone knew what collection or items would be featured on this current tour? I was suspicous it might include Summerwear quads but I'm not sure. I called the counter in Tukwilla it would be held at but they said the artists don't release any info on things they're selling at pro events, whichj I found fishy. But the counter's pretty much sold out of and already had an event for Sweetie Cake so I wonder what's going to be show cased? Anyone have a clue?

My Pro Tour seminar didn't feature any special products that I remember. In fact, the makeup used on the models was general stock, some really popular colors and items that are meant to work on all people.

Yes...I found it pretty helpful though, because the seminar seemed to be focused on the "must-haves" for everyone. Every seminar is different though.

I have been to a few in the past couple years (in the state of Washington) and they have had some pro pigments, brushes, and eye shadows. Like one year I got a white pigment, deep blue green pigment, and a plum pro shadow. I guess they might have finished bring those products but hopefully they still might have something special!
