Urban Decay Eyeshadow Transofrming Potion?

So after a couple people recommended trying the UD Eyeshadow Primer Potion, I noticed the "transforming potion" on their site, which is basically a double ended brushy thing to use eyeshadows as liners. Does anybody have any experience, yay or nay, on this product? Is it worth buying over just using, say, a pencil brush and water? Most importantly, will the goo inside the brush mess up my Mac shadows for future regular use? Any help would be mucho appreciated!

i didnt buy it but i tested this out in the shop. i ran the liner side over a UD e/s and swiped it on my hand. it turned out really streaky and couldnt get an even colour, in fact hardly any colour showed up at all and it looked watery. as for the e/s, it doesnt get ruined. it looks like youve run a wet brush over it and the water dissolves. i think your best bet is to try a fixing medium.
this is my opinion so try it for yourself it might turn out differently to you...

It was really streaky on me and it irritated my eyes. And yes, it did alter my eyeshadow after I used it, the area I tested it on was darker and flat and matte cakey, I had to scrape it off with a toothpick.

Oh no! I really wanted to try this :-(

Does the Too Faced Liquify work better? I want something portable that can't spill like mixing medium since I travel and my bags get thrown around alot.

totally agree. i love the potion primer but HATE this transforming potion crap. i bought both bc the alleged "MA" kept raving about how awesome they both were. i was in a rush so didn't have time to test and already knew that the primer worked well, so i took her word for it. big mistake. it totally ruined the first eyeshadow i tried it on (even though the MA said it wouldn't) and creates a horrible eyeliner.

I havent tried the UD one... but the Too Faced Liquif-eye basically is the same thing but it only has one size applicator thingy. It doesn't go on streaky at all and the colors are really vibrant.
