Hello lovely ladies and gentlemen. My friend is off to America(Boston, M.A) to visit her family, so I thought I'd arm her with a shopping list seeing as she so kindly consented to do some shopping for me.

On my list so far is heaps of Cetaphil as ive heard so much about it and All of Sonia Kashuk Brushes. What else do you guys recommend that I can't buy in the UK and is a great product in USA? (cosmetics and skin care etc)

please please help. I will be ever so grateful

MAC and Nars isn't much cheaper at all at the moment, unless you go to a CCO - the exchange rate is crap remember. You save a dollar and some cents per item if you're lucky after tax on full price MAC.

CHeck out the drugstore lines forum for things we can't find back home. Sephora have some decent own brand stuff too aswella as some brands not avail in th euk Sephora: Beauty, Skin Care, Makeup, Hair, & Fragrance

If your friend is planning a trip to Woodbury Common, there's a CCO there, though obviously she's not gonna know what they're stocking until she arrives.

Smashbox - their palettes and gift sets are usually excellent and very good value. I've bought a couple in the last few years and I use everything!

Sephora brand 'Flashy' waterproof eyeliner pencils. These are really pretty metallic eyeliners that have the BEST consistency I've ever tried. And they don't budge. They're also cheap. I don't rate much else in the Sephora range though.

CARGO - blushes & bronzers.

Stila is hideously expensive here, but definitely worth a look. Eyeshadows and lip glazes are awesome.

If you're worried your friend won't be able to get everything, you could always have a look on beauty websites that accept non-US credit cards (eg Nordstroms, Amazon, Camera Ready Cosmetics) and have something delivered to her family's house?

I would have her take a look at drugstore lines that might be unavailable in the UK.

If she can find NYX products such as the single eyeshadows, they are cheap and great.

Also, you may want to have her take your B2Ms if you have any as I heard they are discontinuing the program in UK.

Here r my suggestions

Ecotools Blush brush
Aquaphor Healing ointment (awesome lipbalm)
CoverGirl Blushberry shine lipstick
Monistat Anti chafing gel (dupe of smashbox photo finish and excellent primer)
Sonia Kashuk Bent eyeliner brush and Highlighting brush (187 dupe)
NYC Powder
Make Up For Ever foundation and concealer (atleast get samples if not the whole thing. They have very good fdtns and concealers)
Posh Kabuki brush
I dont know if u get Bobbi Brown in UK so BB Shimmerbricks, gel eyeliners and pot rouges

OMG the Sephora Flashy liners that one of the PPs was talking about...they make a color called Flashy Mauve that I ADORE. I use it on my waterline instead of white when I want to make my eyes look bigger...it's got just a bit of irridescence (sp??) in it, but looks really amazing.
Also, I really like their brushes...depending on what you need, I recommend their platinum powder brush (I use it to apply my foundation...I use Cover FX, and it applies it like an airbrush, it's amazing), and their platinum angled eyeliner brush.
Also, I don't know what your bath and body preference is, regarding scents, but Sephora makes a Vanilla Cupcake scent (I seriously want to eat this stuff...it smells delicious), or if you're not so much into the sweet smells, Lime Blossom is really nice...I use the whole line, scrub, wash, dry oil, and body butter...pretty spiffy!
Oooh! Also, MUFE HD Primer...loooooooooove this stuff.
