AS IF!!!! I've just nearly run out, lol! How does the Pigment differ to the shadow? Maybe I should try using the pigment from now on...? hmm...

I have never tried the shadow but I used to have a sample of the pigment till it ran out and it was my fav!

the e/s is matte, while the pigment shimmers. can't wear the e/s, makes me look dead. the pigment is so flattering, a favourite.

The shadow isn't very frosty, it's more of a satin with a very slight soft sparkle to it. The pigment is really frosty with a slight gold sheen to it, so if your looking for the straight off white base or highlight colour then stick to the eye shadow, if you want something a bit more frosty or shimmery with a bit of a gold sheen then try the piggie. The pigment is also great for highlighting all over the face and looks great on the cheekbones!

I actually love them both! I'm not a frost lover, but somehow I stll love vanilla pigment. I wouldn't be without either one. At least try a sample of the pigment.

I love vanilla e/s & use it every day, too, but the pigment is completely different. I didn't know there would be that much gold sheen in it when I bought it.

they are very different products that just happen to have the same name in my opinion. The e/s is almost matte and I find it pretty useless as it barely shows up on my pale skin. The pigment is gorgeous - it is very frosty though and has a gold sheen that sometimes flashes pink on me. If you want frost then get the pigment, but if you simply want more of the same, these products are not interchangeable.

geesh... i hardly touch my vanilla pigment. I've half a bottle of it sitting in my room for ages and till now it still seems untouched..

By the way, what brush do u girls use to apply vanilla pigment as a face highlighter?

i love vanilla pigment. i find it compliments almost every other e/s i have in my bag. it can give a cooling effect if i use cooler colours, or if i use warm colours, i find the golden shimmer in it really pops. it's a great highlighter and awesome for toning down super bright or dark colours.

love it. ;]

i turn the bottle of pigment upside down (with the lid on) and tap it on the counter. this fluffs up the pigment in the jar and packs it on the lid.

i turn it over, unscrew the cap.

take my 187 brush and tap it on the lid to pick up some of the pigment.

then sweep it on the tops of my cheek bones or across my collar bone to highlight.

I love both of them but I wouldn't say that one can substitute for the other. Vanilla pigment is much less subtle than the shadow (my HG highlight).

If you like shimmer, then definitely try Vanilla pigment. Personally, it is a staple of mine and I use it almost daily, either as a brow highlight, cheekbone highlight, and sometimes I'll dab a bit of it on the center of my lips over a MAC lipglass...that's one of my fav things to do with Vanilla piggie! I'd say give it a try; you may be surprised and fall in love with it!

BTW, Vanilla e/s is NOT a favorite of mine.

You know, I see Provence pigment is coming out in an upcoming collection, maybe the Strange Hybrid in May? If you would want a creamy colored pigment, this one is fabulous! I bought a couple jars of it when it was out and I need to use it more now that I know it's coming out again. It's better than the vanilla e/s and does not have the sheen, but is a nice vanilla-ish shade.

I use the #129 brush to grab some colour from the pigment lid, tap off the excess and away i go!
