Vexing Beauty

So I tried out Vex w/ Budding Beauty and quite like the results. I did it yesterday but w/ Shimmermint but didn't like it as much as today's, which is my favourite fotd to date - but I'm sure I'm horribly biased, so please give me your thoughts! My main fear is that I'm too pink all around. Did I pink it out much? Let me know!

Horrible ugly face - I was trying to blow a kiss...

I used:

Face
Studio Fix powder foundation in NC35
Select Moisturecover concealer in NC35

Cheeks (ha, I think you can see it this time!)
Rose pigment
Budding Beauty e/s
Shy Angel blush

Eyes (in order of application)
Reflecto Softsparkle pencil on top and lower lashines, extended above top lashline
Maybelline Full 'n' Soft mascara in black brown on top lashes
Maybelline Unstoppable mascara in black brown on top lashes
Maybelline Volum'Express in black bron on bottom lashes
UD Potion Primer
Vex e/s on lid, then lightly over Budding Beauty
Budding Beauty over Vex on outer lid
Flirty Number in crease (barely there)
White Opal to highlight and blend (kind of..)
Idol Eyes over Reflecto above the top lashline

Lips
Cover Girl Rosegold Glow lipliner (HG!)
Naturally Eccentric l/s
Heartfelt Pink l/g (lightly)

Any contructive criticism please!

Wow...you're right about the Vex w/ Budding Beauty! I don't think you're too pinked out at all. It looks great. Love the lipcolor. I'm gonna have to find that lip liner and try it. I'm still searching for an HG lipliner.

Thanks for feeling the pink vibe! As for lipliner, it might be d/c'd

b/c I can't find it anywhere. It's supposed to be a Smoother lipliner but the colours are different from when I bought it - 2 years ago! But I found it on eBay for quite cheap, and I've got 2 more comin' my way.

*edit: If you do look for it, note I used the liner, not the lipstick which goes by the same name.

anyway, very pretty!! I like the combo. In that picture where you're blowing a kiss, it looks like you're sneezing.


btw, I'm still trying to figure out a way to make Vex work! I'm sooo jealous it looks great on you and like crap on me.

I DO love that lipglass! An MA said it's close to Who's That Lady, which I missed out on...I don't know how true that is, but my heart's feeling Heartfelt Pink (so cheesy, I know)...

As for Vex, thanks for the kind comments! It's the first time I've really tried it with anything. I have it in my Tailormade palette and it's the only one barely touched. I got this idea while staring at the Sweetie Cake quad cuz Almond Icing looks close to Vex, and I just got Budding Beauty...hopefully I can find other e/s to go with both of them.

I think you could work Vex out really well - go for it! As for pinked out...this is the first time I've done pink up everywhere, so it's a bit scary for me. *lol* Thanks for your encouragement!
