Volume

Hey everyone. I was wondering how i could make my hair have more volume. i've tried VO5 Whipped Volume and either i'm not using enough or it just isn't working. I usually straighten my hair but it just lays flat on the top of my head and it makes me look so young. I've tried teasing it too but it never turns out the way I want it to. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this? Thank you!

there is more than one way to add volume to your hair.

1: You can use less conditioner in your hair

2: Or you can skip conditioning your hair after shampooing and just srpay in a light mist of leave in condtioner

3: Finding the right cut for your hair can creat volume

4:Try to apply volumizing products mainly on the roots of your hair, blow dry until your hair is about 90% dry then add more of the product to the roots but this time working the product all the way to the ends of your hair. Then dry all the way and stlye

5: I also find that after styling your hair if u use those big sized thermal rollers just on the roots of your hair spray with a light mist of hairspray works really well

Everything mentioned above i have done with my own hair. Although i am not a stylist and cant say wether everything above will work or not. But its woth a try

You could always try teasing/backcombing. I have very thick hair but sometimes I still want more volume so this is what I do. Also, Big Sexy Hair makes some of my absolute HG volumizing products. Spray & Play and Root Pump Plus are awesome. Or you could try backcomb in a bottle if you want the effect of teasing without knotting up your hair. Be careful when you use it though, you only need VERY little at the roots of your hair.

Put jumbo rollers in your hair while it's wet, blow dry, and spray some light hairspray around afterwards.

what i usually do to add some volume is put some mousse in my hair before i blow dry it with a big round brush.
When its dry and styled the way i like it, i finish it up with a little bit of hairspray.

I usually use Wella's Liquid Hair Volumizer Gel. After showering, I spray that to the roots of my hair and blowdry. Then I would straighten my hair. You can also spray hairspray once you tease it so that it'll stay if you have places to go.

Aveda's Volumizing Tonic works better for me than any other product I've tried so far.

A lot of hairstylists tease the roots with a brush/comb to create volume.
