Hi Everyone,

I did a search but couldn't find this specific question.

I have baby fine hair and am currently using Redken All Soft shampoo & conditioner which obviously isn't designed to give volume. I'v done all the right things like got my hair layered, blow dry it upwards and use a volume building mouse.

I wanted to find out from you all what the best volumizing shampoo & conditioner is.
And what is a good hair spray is for not weighing my hair down.

TIA!!

Using All Soft shampoo/conditioner is actually probably working against you more than you think. The softer your hair is the harder its going to be for you to get volume out of it. I'd rec using either Big Sexy Hair products or Paul Mitchell Extra Body... both of them work pretty well. Of course, no product is going to work miracles. PM also has a good product called Thicken Up that will help to bulk your hair up a bit when you blowdry. As far as hairsprays just look for a flexible hold one because you need something lighter vs a very hard hold spray. Again, PM has a couple that I like... Hold Me Tight or Worked Up... both smell great too! (Can you tell I really love PM? lol) Anyway I hope some of those suggestions work for you!

Pureology! In the pink bottle. I have limp, fine hair and I tried this when I got hair extensions.

It's pricey but it's sooo gentle, vegan, and sulfate-free. I got the huge bottle of shampoo and conditioner --- together they cost about $100 at a beauty outlet. I've been using the same bottles since July of last year, and they're still half-full.

Not only is my hair a lot bouncier, it doesn't get oily as fast, and the skin on my back and neck is a lot better. Even though the extensions have been off for months, I don't think I'll ever go back to my old shampoo.

^ Agreed, try a roller set. Personally that's what I do, including using FAT HAIR by Samy products. The thickening creme that you use when you blow dry is awesome, including the hair spray. I've use it on both my real hair and my hair extensions. Don't forget to tousel, and follow the instructions on the labels.

I use Paul Mitchell Extra Body shampoo and rinse and I loves it. Definitely better than drugstore volume boosting 'poos.

I second Paul Mitchell Extra Body shampoo and rinse! I really liked it, the shampoo cleansed my hair without stripping it and the conditioner was moisturizing enough for my medium-thick long wavy hair (usually I can't use volumizing conditioners because they're too light). Velcro rollers are a must and my favorite hair spray is Tresemme 'Tres Two ULTRA FINE MIST' hair spray.
