The first Walgreens opened in Honolulu a few days ago. Till now, we only had the Long's chain. A bit of a dissapointment. They carry Maybelline,Revlon,Covergirl,Rimmel,Jordana,L'Oreal ,Sally Hansonand Jane. That's it. No Isadora,no Iman,no Milani (lines that would sell well here!) and no Wet and Wild.Only Jane-which really is very plain-is new to our shores. We are an ethnic island! Most of the people here are people of color....Especially local people-who are more likely to shop in drugstores than specialty shops!
Walgreens plans 30 more stores eventually.
One line new to us is Say Yes To Carrots-a skin care line. This line is nicely affordable and from natural ingrediants-from the Netherlands.
I plan on talking to the manager about more products that our sisters from Samoa,Micronesia,theMarshall Islands,the Phillipines as well as our own beautiful wahines can enjoy.
