hey girls,

I need recs. for a powder and a cremeblush (only MAC, please, and no limited or being discontinued products) in an universal flattering colour. I'd like to use it in summer when I'm rather tanned and in winter when I'm rather pale.

Besides, I'd like to share it with my friends, so it should be suitable for definately every skin colour.

I'd just want to create a healthy and well-groomed look that looks good to all styles and is absolutely universal, versatile - maybe I'll layer the powder blush over the cremeblush to make it stay the whole day or use each single one .

Thank you for your recs.

sunbasque is awesome on many people i've tried it on...its a peachy bronzey type of color...my sister wears it during the winter all the time and it gives her a great glow
also, plum foolery is quite nice. beautiful during fall and i personally think it looks great during summer, too. and its not as plum as you would think

so that means it can be worn during various seasons. and i personally think it looks awesome on everyone

if you can still find it x-rocks blush from neo sci-fi. it is a great blush that compliments many skins colors.

While it's rather a question of taste, try Bobbi Brown's Pink Raspberry Pot Rouge, it's a beautiful shade. Pale Pink is also quite beautiful.

What do you expert ladies think of colours like BABYBLUSH, BUFF and MOCHA ?

I would prefer neutral colours without any shimmer.

As I have just heard, so many cremeblushes are being discontinued ...

Does anybody know, if there will be a new cremeblush range my mac ??

I love Buff, but it wouldn't be what I call a universal shade, I'm pretty sure Buff will show poorly on deeper skin tones. As for the other colors, while pretty, I don't believe they're universal or at least in my view, I prefer my blushes to have a little bit of more pink.

If you're considering a cream blush, I seriously advise you to go into the Bobbi Brown range, the formulation is far superior.

I second BB pot rouges, but I don't think it would be wise to share cream products with people. =/

I really don't think there is such thing as a blush that would equally suit a porcelain skin tone and an NC/NW50!

I'm sure there are blushes that would suit a lot of skin tones but not all

hey kiseki, thank you for your information !!!

I'm really interested in BB pot rouges; could you please give me some more advice about the different colours (what kind of look can be created with the different colours).

Well, they don't have any shimmer and worn on their own have a semi-matte finish. They're suitable for all skin types and I'm oily and they don't rub off. With a slight dusting of loose powder they create the "glow from within" illusion.

Here's how I use the colors:

Pale Pink - My favorite, gives me a flushed very natural look, I can also wear it on top of Blushed Rose or Chocolate Milk for an extra pop of color.

Pink Raspberry - Same as above, but a bit more daring, I use it sparingly because I like it to be very discreet and natural.

Chocolate Milk - I use it in lieu of bronzer to give my face a sun kissed look.

Blushed Rose - A neutral pink that I wear more on evenings and slightly contour my face

Stonewashed Pink - More peach than pink, I find it more suited for medium skin tones, on me it gives me a sort of dirty look that I'm not particularly fond of. I gave it to my mother who has olive undertones and she looks great with it, very glowy.

Hope this helps.

I heartily agree. Bobbi brown pot rouge in pink raspberry is an awesome blush and flatters most skintones. if u really want mac then i would suggest ladyblush.
but personally i think bobbi brown's cream blushes r better than mac's anyday.
if u want one blush flatters all..pink is the way to go..

I agree, which is why I'm having a hard time thinking of a blush to recommend.
Blushbaby is one of my faves, and it's very neutral so I can wear it with practically anything.
I don't know how well it would show up on darker skintones though, so I guess it just depends on how dark you (and your friends) get/are.
