PS! I added a poll for fun! Because I am a nerd and I realllly want to go blonde, have for a while now. I know a few brunettes that went blonde and look really amazing -- but tell me your thoughts. If you think I have the wrong skintone... or if you've done it and regret it. My only reservation is that it'll be a lot of upkeep.

Love the eyes. How blonde do you want to go?
To start with you would be better off with a few highlights.

yeahhh the thing is, i've done highlights, and i either want to go totally blonde or nothing at all. i don't like a chunky-highlighted look. Maybe a warm blonde. I swear ive even tried photoshopping a pic to see how it would look and i still cant decide, ha.

The makeup is beautiful, you are so pretty and have such great skin!

I think a dark blonde would suit you, but tbh I think your dark hair is gorgeous, it looks stunning with your skin tone

blone would be cool. but first it might toatally dry out your hair (like i am one to talk)
i also think it will wash out your freckles

but if it was me, i would probably do it anyway just to try it : P

Heya! I voted "maybe" -- I was a blonde from the time I was 13 until I was...well, my age now (late 30's). I LOVED being blonde and it looks great on some skintones (yours is one of those skintones, IMO)-- BUT, the upkeep on being blonde is a pain in the ass. Roots are f-ugly! Brassiness is f-ugly! Fried ends are f-ugly! All of these things are what you'll have to constantly be on top of if you choose to go blonde.

You're adorable, and I think you'd look super no matter what color your hair is.

I would do a honey or caramel blonde on you. I wouldn't recommend anything too ashy. I think a warm blonde would look awesome on you. BTW, love that look.

A good rule of thumb is: If you were blonde as a child, you'll look good blonde as an adult. If you were never blonde, you probably don't have the skintone to pull it off.

I have found the above to be true with those I know. My mum has really dark hair now but was blonde as child and looks great as a blonde. My sister has always been a brunette and blonde hair looks horrible on her despite being fair skinned and freckled.

Just something for you to consider.

Pretty FOTD, by the way. You are such a natural beauty.

Beautiful!!!!

I agree with Kenzie re going blonde. If you were blonde as a child you could look really good as a blonde. But remember going blonde needs a lot of upkeep and work to keep it looking good and in condition.

I say go for it!

I bleached my hair a couple months ago just for fun. It was kind of a caramel color but I don't think it looked really bad. Not super flattering either though. Haha. My brows are dark and it didn't look natural by any means but I liked it!

The brown looks great, you're very pretty naturally! But if you do go blonde make sure they don't make you tooo blonde, Also some strawberry highlights would be gorgeous!

Oh, and for such a big switch, obviously go to a reputable salon! I had this lady put lowlights in my hair once and it turned green. Ruined my week, until my mom undid it.

I think your makeup is great... As for the hair if your like me you won't be satisfied until you've tried it at least once.. Just remember it's alot of upkeep if you go REALLY, REALLY blonde and if you tend to be a little lazy when it comes to your hair you'll definatly pay for it later on..

Those colors are so pretty on you

Anyway, about the hair. You never know until you try! So I say go for it. If nothing else just to get it out of your system.
Even if you end up not liking it at all, you can always go back to your natural color (maybe not immediatelly, but you can do it) or find something better.
This past year my hair has gone from red, to platinum blonde, red, bleached again, back to red, then rich chocolate brown, to jet black, now it's red again

For having fine textured hair it's survived the abuse I've put it through quite well! You'd never know it, even by feeling it, unless I said something about it.

i think you could go a warm shade of blonde like strawberry blonde or a caramel honey colour. nothing too cool toned like platinum or something like that LOL

i also noticed when i was blonde my face was always really pink - it really accentuates any redness in your skin - now that i went completely natural a dark brown all that redness isnt as noticeable

ohh yea and ur make up is lovely i just cant do a natural face - i like to see something LOL

i always look forward to your subtle, glowy looks. i say go for the blonde, b/c as others have stated, you have nothing to lose! hair grows back and can be dyed again. hot oil treatments & deep conditioners are my best friends whenever I bleach my hair. ooh, and perhaps you can have fun w/lightening your brows just a little to compliment your soon-to-be lighter hair! best of luck!
