I'm a newbie from Australia, only recently having been hooked on MU (yup- a total newbie!). I signed up a while ago, having been referred by my best friend (who goes by ~crystal~ here) and have only until now been browsing the forums, but every one is so nice and friendly and helpful here that I'm breaking my silence and popping out to hello!
