Hi everyone! My name is Sloan, im new here! I've really enjoyed the things i've read so far! Im not new to Make-up, but im new to MAC, just over 4 months, and i LOVE it! the colors and the quality of the make-up is a huge bonus! My biggest thing with make-up was that i could never go out to a drugstore and find a appropriate foundation that would blend seamlessly with my skin tone! I tried many many brands and styles.. and it was never 100%
I'd heard things about MAC but i didn't think it would help...why would it be different? boy was i wrong. On a whim i went to the MAC counter, and asked.. The lady looked at me and right away she knew.
"Oh...You're a NC45" She applied a swatch and it disappeared!
You're kidding! That day I bought my Studio Fix, my concealer and Blacktrack
I went home and played and played...Im was astounded by how smooth it applied, though i was using too much in the beginning It would crease around my mouth a lot..
I invested in a few brushes one for my foundation! (I'd been watching tutorials done by EnKore on Youtube) and he suggested using artists brushes as a cheap yet comparable substitute to the MAC brushes, made by Loew-Cornell And they've been good thus far, Im slowly buying Mac Brushes though! I've also purchased a few Shadows, pigments and Paintpots! (Which I love as a color wash on their own!)
My fave shadow has been a tie between Carbon and Beauty Marked!
Anywho, Im glad to have found this forum and look forward to learning and sharing thoughts and Ideas!
