Wedding Songs

My boyfriend and I plan on getting married within the next year and our wedding song is defiantly going to be Sade's By Your Side. It fits our relationship perfectly and it's such a beautiful song.

Has anyone else thought of a song they would love to be their wedding song?

We used Enya's "Only Time" - my original thought was The Liberty Bell March, also known as the Monty Python theme song but my mother in law whined about it so we changed it.

we actually just got married and the songs were SO HARD to choose

our first song was an AL green song.... Let's Stay together

the ceremony music was super hard to choose as well. I had the girls walk down the isle to a david grey song... january rain. it was just guitar.. then i walked down to coldplay's yellow (acoutic version) I got so many compliments on the music choice and hnow it fit our outside ceremony. I didn't realize that changing up the ceremony music would make such an impact.

Of course, the typical one would be Iris by the Googoo dolls, which is just so beautiful but everyone's used it! Sting's Fields of Gold would be another

We kinda wanted an up-beat song, (Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr.- You Don't Have To Be A Star), but Sade's song just fits better.

We chose "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain. My hubby and I are HARDCORE country music lovers. It was very romantic....well, for us anyway!!!! Sade has such a sexy, mysterious voice and "By Your Side" is a lovely song for your first dance together.

I really love the song "i will love you" by kelly koffee, it's really deep, i actually heard it at a wedding i was attending, they picked it as their 1st dance, and i balled for like 15 minutes straight

I'm getting married next year and we haven't really thought about what song to walk down to. For our first dance I was thinking to play "our song" but most people would think it's inappropriate cause it's Boyz II Men "I'll make love to you", it's our song cause it has special meaning to us, not cause of the lyrics or anything but most people would probably think about our "first time" or something. I've told a few people and they all say the same thing '"Uuuuuhhh.....are you sure? Isn't that a song you should play on your wedding night? Not really for a first dance." So I think we're going to go with "When I fall in love" the Celine Dion & Harry Connick Jr version.
